  I’d just like to debate your mischaracterization of libertarians. Libertarian != libertine, nor are we all humanists, relativists, and secularists. Nor do we want people to go and be self-destructive. We only want to pursue methods of reducing the impact of bad behavior in ways that don’t lead to the destruction of civil rights by the state.

  I don’t who is dumber – the people making the wild assumptions about British children “empathizing” with Jewish evacuees for PC purposes or The Blaze editors for not spelling out what should be a fairly simple explanation of the history behind this.

  Let’s see – perhaps there’s a reason these are often mistaken for a Lucy costume. Maybe, just maybe that’s because Brits in the cities (who had the means to do so) sent their children to the countryside during the Battle of Britain where they were less likely to be blown into little bits by a gift that goes boom from the Luftwaffe. Lucy and her brothers and sisters represent these “evacuee” children. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JEWS OR YELLOW STARS OF DAVID!!!!

  Methinks you have no idea what the basics are yourself. As already mentioned, VFR requires no plan of any kind to be filed. Even if she was going on a long cross country, that would be a good idea, but not required. The only thing I might criticize her for is not checking the NOTAMs, but if she‘s used to flying in that area and it’s normally completely unrestricted, I can understand how she got a little sloppy and went even though she couldn’t look up anything on the computer.

  OSB – we have corporal punishment in TN, though I doubt any schools in the libterd utopia of Nashvegas choose to use it. My kids’ schools use it.
