  • No, the medal didn’t ruin his life. His decision to make a political statement at the Olympic games was what did it. Some people think they are bigger than the games, and they just don’t get it. It’s not all about them. The Olympic games are no place for such political displays.

  • On the Ground at the “One Nation” March

I was there on 8/28, too. And I walked all around from the Lincoln Memorial back to the metro station, after the rally was over. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the grounds. Everywhere I went, the only trash I saw was stacked up neatly next to the overflowing trash bins….and there were rally workers at each one, working hard to clean up the bins. I did not see ANY trash on the ground anywhere. There’s something to be said for NOT bringing signs, because then that kind of trash doesn’t get left behind. People were happy, smiling, kind to one another. The pictures I’ve seen from yesterday look like angry, hate-filled, sad people. I guess that’s the difference between paying your own way to go to a rally, and being paid to go there by your union or whatever.
We will have the final word on Nov. 2. Please urge your friends, relatives, neighbors to GET OUT AND VOTE!

  • It’s just too bad that this case, which has merits, is being heard before the 9th circuit, the same place where the will of the people in California was overturned regarding Proposition 8. It‘s time to clean house and get rid of some of these federal judges who don’t read the Constitution and cater to the left-leaning wackos.
If Americans ever really knew what goes on at Planned Parenthood, and how much of our federal dollars have been spent on abortions, it would make their heads spin.

  • Not funny…..totally tasteless.

  • Al Sharpton: State Senate Seat is Black ‘Heir’ Property

    In reply to BGMartin.

You are absolutely right. People like Al Sharpton want revenge and they want to exact it on people who had nothing to do with owning slaves. When will they get over it?? Never. They will NEVER be satisfied and will keep demanding retribution from white folks. I grew up in Louisiana, but my ancestors never owned slaves because they were immigrants from Italy. Yet, I’m called racist, and accused of wearing white sheets and being told that I haven’t done enough to pay for the crimes of our ancestors. Well, I’m sorry they feel that way, but I think it’s their problem and they are the ones who are paying attention to the color of the skin instead of the content of character.
