  • Our education system needs to be fixed in many ways. I was driving past the elementary school here in my town this morning and noticed that the large American flag was flying upside down. So I decided to return to the school to check it out. A member of the staff walked into the building with me, but he did not seem to care about the flag flying so disrespectfully and just walked down the hallway away from me. When I told the secretary in the office about the flag, she said there were two students who regularly hang the flag each morning. She said they would fix it immediately, which they were already doing by the time I got back to my car. Unfortunately, they thought it was very funny and were having a good time hauling it down.

Has our generation failed to teach the next generation what the flag represents? Thousands and thousands of brave men and women have died for that flag and the country which it honors. Why aren’t these young students more sensitive and aware of those sacrifices? To dishonor the flag is to dishonor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for America.

We need to do a better job in educating our children about not only what the flag stands for, but also how to treat it with the proper respect. It was fairly obvious that those two students did not have a clue about flag etiquette. Plus many parents and citizens drove past and ignored how it was flying. It does not bode well for America if this next generation takes no pride in our count

  • The best the Dems could do in 2008 was come up with a candidate who materialized out of thin air with no verifiable credentials, who hid any records pertaining to his past, and who talked smoothly like a snake-oil salesman to America, selling a product that had no chance of working anyway. So I wouldn’t be dissing the Repub candidates quite yet.

  • There is a danger of becoming a ‘moocher’ society, but I doubt if it will ever happen. The majority of Americans understand the importance of relying on yourself to get through life. You cannot depend on the government, a truism that is becoming more and more obvious with all these failing progressive entitlement programs. Eventually, the people will tire of supporting all the freeloaders and vote those who do so out of office.

  • BROKER0101, Your sarcasm is wasted on me and most others. Being droll is not an admirable trait.

  • The only bright side in this situation is Soro’s advanced age. Once he is gone, his sons will not be able to follow in Daddy’s footsteps because (fortunately for the world) no one else can possibly run his empire like he has. You have to have a real desire to play God, and very few people have the God complex. (Thank God!)

  • I guess it was okay for Obama to point his finger at Joe the Plumber, but not okay for Gov. Brewer to do the same. Besides, it is not disrespectful to use a finger when you are making a point. The only time it is incorrect is if you are using the mdidle finger and not the pointer finger. I’m just saying….

  • Also wonder if there isn’t some sub-plot in this story. Maybe the company failed because they knew they were under investigation for shady funding and were about to the outed…hence they needed to go under asap.

  • And another one bites the dust. Yet another shining example of Obama’s failure to help the economy.

  • People who play the race card are unable to find a valid argument, so they take the easy way out and scream “racist!”. They are stupid enough to think that people will automatically side with their viewpoint if they use that word. Well, that tactic is no longer working in America. People are sick and tired of such rhetoric. It is like the little boy who kept on calling “Wolf”. Eventually no one listened to him because they knew he was not telling the truth. Are you listening, Jesse Jackson and friends? America knows what you are doing. We’re on to you, bud.

  • The lib view is that individuals no longer have rights….we are all part of the global society. So get used to having your rights tromped upon. Unless we vote these socialists out of office in the next election, our individual rights will be disappearing one by one.
