  BEST QUOTE OF THE DAY!!!!! The next time you get a viral infection, please use some penicillin from 1960. Since silly stuff like evolution is just a theory you wont require the newer versions of antibiotics that fight current strains of bacteria that have EVOLVED to resist older antibiotics.

  Oh and the next time you visit a tall building go ahead and step off the top floor with no worries. After all Gravity is just a theory!

  Stop using that GPS too! The theory of relativity is just a theory and absolutely does make those things work. Its magical fairy dust!

  SO ashestoashes; If you had a child and they refused to say they loved you would you throw them in your basement and torture them forever and ever? According to your book thats what your god does. Sounds like a very vain and petty unloving god. Love me or else! If he were real he would be in prison for abuse and crimes against humanity.

  HILARIOUS!!!!!! So let me get this straight CHANGING the original pledge which was good enough for our country men during WWI and WWII to include the words “under god” which were added in 1954 is OK and CHANGING them back to the original is wrong? The change in 1954 is “CHANGING THE VERY FOUNDATION” of the one true original Pledge.

  See thats where you are 100% wrong. No one is demanding you give up your right to your religion. We dont care what you believe. What we want is that you keep your religion out of our government, schools or any other civic arena that is payed for with tax dollars. Keep it in your church and in your home. Don‘t come knocking on my door on a saturday or sunday and rudely interrupt what I’m doing in an attempt to “force” your beliefs on me.

  So many responses on here are “we will pray for you”. Do you realize how smug and self serving that is? How would you fell if a Satanist said “I will pray to Lucifer for you everyday. In fact I will have the entire coven pray your name to Lucifer every day until you see the light.”? I’m sure that would be comforting that they would be gathered around a pentagram invoking your name to Lucifer. By the way, an atheist would never even consider that. We dont believe in him either.

  Agreed foxholeatheist. It’s either believe their way or no way. They probably are friends with atheists and they dont even know it. Yet they think (on this forum anyway) that we hate our country, we cant love and care for our fellow man. They think we worship satan (that would mean we arent atheists because we dont believe in boogey men either). They apparently dont know much about our founding fathers. When you read and believe only one book you are pretty lost.

  Listen people, there are currently over 4400 religions on this planet that believe in an even higher number of gods. Gods that you christians dont believe in. To quote Stephen Roberts “I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one less god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

  @Bernard How sad that if someone does not think like you they are “odious”. How high and mighty of you.

  So you dont mind when I say that since you believe in an invisible zombie in the sky who made a man out of dirt and a woman out of a rib and tricked them with a talking snake to eat from a magic tree that automatically makes every child born a sinner that needs to be redeemed by killing the son of himself that he got by impregnating a 14 year old girl against her will out of wedlock, lets just say I think you are quite silly.

  “I do care how ever you need to push your atheist crap on me & the rest of us in“ but you have no problem adding ”under god” to a secular pledge of allegiance. You have no problem adding “In god We Trust” onto money printed with taxpayer dollars (seperation of church and state anyone?)

  Who is pushing whose beliefs on whom?

  How is any atheist no belief being “pushed” onto you?

  If someone can “take away” your god then he must not be much of a god. God however should not have anything to do with our government. You will always have freedom to believe what you want. That doesnt mean that your belief is the only correct one. You may want to read up on the founding fathers. Most of them didnt think like you and would be sick at the thought of how far god has been injected into the government.
