• Texas Judge Sentences Honors Student to Jail for Missing School

  First of all, this “judge” was elected to his office as Justice of the Peace, not appointed as a judge by the state or feds. The people of precinct 1, Montgomery County, will have to wait until 2014 to vote him out. I can find no information on any legal training this JP has had, nor any college he has attended. For all the information available, he could be a high school drop out and as such wants to make an example of anyone who has the guts and determination to work two jobs while going to school as a honor student. Or he could just be a bigot who wants to punish any minority who is making good toward the American dream.

  The fact that she specifies that she, a US Congresswoman, trys to help “PEOPLE OF COLOR” confirms she is a racist. Anytime, anyone makes a decision based on skin color or ethnic background, that decision is RACIST. We have to get rid of these hypocritical people and elect people who represent the UNITED States of America.

  Years ago when I coached a boys little league team, I had a girl on my team. She earned her posistion as catcher and short stop. One of the other coaches who did not want girls to play forced me to only use her as a SS because of an assinine rule in the little league rule book. It stated that in order to play catcher, the player must wear a protective cup!!!! After that ruling (along with another banning wooden bats) helped me decide to drop baseball and swithch to futball. It was a pleasant change.

  And it did not take 4 shots (three of which were edited out by the LSM) to sink it like the POTUS. This is not hard news, but in context with Obummer getting national press coverage for his 3-pt shot (edited version), it is a rebuttal.

  EQUAL RIGHTS for women has never been the reason. It was for equal PAY, even without equal WORK or QUALIFICATIONS. Many years ago, Wimbledon had two different pay (prize ) amounts, one for M and one for F. Then someone sued, and the wusses at Wimbledon caved to the pressure. So now you have both genders receiving the same prize amount – EVEN THOUGH THE WOMEN ONLY PLAY THE BEST OF THREE AND NOT THE BEST OF FIVE that the men have to play. EQUAL RIGHTS – I don’t think so.

  @sgtb – you are right that the planes are thoroughly inspected before each flight. However, due to cuts in funding, the replacement parts to fix a plane are cannibalized from other aircraft rather than new replacement parts (much like if your car is wrecked – you can buy a new part, i.e. fender, or go to a junk yard and get one off of another wreck). While this does save money, it does increase the breakage rate. And as to your other point about spending money before the end of the fiscal year, the MILITARY did not set those rules, Congress did. Like the $600 hammer, the military would be happy with a $10 hammer from Ace Hardware – but the congress has set the requirements for each item which drives up the price (triple bids on every item, unusually strict specs, multiple layers of inspections, all of which costs money). So let’s put the blame where it belongs – ON CONGRESS and not the men and women of the military.

  Please do not shut down the power plants. Instead, find the names and addresses of all EPA members, and every member of a tree hugger organization, and SHUT OFF THEIR power. Let them put in their own wind and solar power to replace the coal generated power. (It only takes 100 acres of solar panels to partially power one small business complex) See how soon they will change their minds.
