  • Why? “Big Bird” was a LIB.

  • I wish Col. West had run. I’d have voted for him DD quick!

But, while I haven’t been shot at by the Taliban, I have been shot at. We should not be collecting scalps, ears, fingers, teeth or photos of US urinating on THEM. WE, as Americans, are BETTER than that. Honorable in battle, humble in victory. WE are not the babrbarians, THEY are. The World is watching, and keeping score. When called to somewhere else, (anywhere else), the World will remember…and our efficacy can be affected by their perception.

  • @Earth…

Funny…MOST of my home is decorated with folk art JUST LIKE THAT…

I guess it‘s a question of how thin one’s skin is.

  • @Neocon1…
Some have. but maybe not in the way you’d think…
Rituals are performed all the time for understanding, hope, love, Divine guidance.

If witchcraft worked a’ la “Harry potter”, Bin Laden would have been gone on 9/12….

  • While some still subscribe to the ergot explanation of Salem ‘92, I feel that the conversion disorder Dx is probably more on target. As far as the “We Are Change”, video, consider the source…
As far as the Bohemian Grove conspiracy, well…many presidents were also members of “Skull & Co”, and some were members of the “Friars Club”.

    So?

I let my kids spent overnights with Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and even Christians. I don’t hate, even when I’m hated.

People worshipped rocks, trees, thunder, fire and rain for MILENNIA B.C. While I aproach MY faith with a bit more education than they did, I consider it no less valid. It may not fit your paradigm, but it IS, after all, valid. AND protected. Just lik the media-grabbers in Salem, and just like any Christian, Jew, Atheist, Muslim, etc. here.

  • @Raising: Yes, they do believe in “Higher Power”. That may not be congruent with your,(or anyone else’s), POV on it, but they DO believe in it. Else you’d be right…what would be the point?

  • Unfortunately, @SPANK, MOST of them probably voted FOR him. “RepubliWiccans” such as myself are rare. Not unheard of, but rare. and the reason I would never perform such a rite is because I, too, would be afraid to get injured…

  • @JMSDysart…

Not necessarily. Whilst some true Satanists call themselves “witches”, for the most part, there is no “Satan”, (personification of absolute evil), in either their belief structure or pantheon.

  • @Drewder:…No…only Wiccans. And it’s not “against the rules”, you just have to be willing to accept the return. “greater good” and all that…

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah…“burn”…“stake”…“cat”…“Satan”.

Look, I am Wiccan and HAVE BEEN for more than three decades. I take my faith every bit as seriously as any of you take yours. I am dismayed and embarassed by the actions of these “show” witches…(these two and Day and Grimassi and Cabot, et ux,, et al.). I am not, however, a football fan. Gimme Yankee baseball! I hope Tebow wins. Just to push “them” back into their cottages…

    THAT said, Viva The Blaze!
