  • Hinckley seems to gets it and puts it into perspective with Hudson. The challenge is whether his message resonates with Rhode Islanders, whether Hinckley has the courage to follow through on what he says, whether he is sincere in what he is saying, and whether Rhode Islanders have the courage to do something about it. For so long Rhode Islanders have been dumbed-down and blindly voted for democrats without understanding the impact of their vote. “Party of the working people” you always hear, which is nonsense. The democrat party doesn’t support businesses so how can it support working people? Can’t have working people without places to work unless it is the government. Many of us complain about the politicians and the corruption in the state government but don’t exercise our ability to change it through voting. Someone told me that it is a matter of the “devil you know” vice the “devil you don’t know”. Fair statement but elections still have consequences. So many are on the government dole in some way that they will continue to vote to get their free stuff under the guise of “helping” when it is actually “enslaving” despite what it does to the taxpayer. Are Rhode Islanders ready to send someone to Washington who is going against the tide (pun intended)? Doubt it, especially if history is any indicator. Hopefully Hinckley can lead the way.

Touche! That is a good one. I believe it takes just as much faith if not more to be an atheist but at least you have a sense of humor about it all.
