‘CNET learns the FBI is quietly pushing its plan to force surveillance backdoors on social networks, VoIP, and Web e-mail providers, and that the bureau is asking Internet companies not to oppose a law making those backdoors mandatory.’

    Yea or Nay?

  • I think people are holding their nose, choosing the Newt, because they are religious bigots. Certain religions ARE just that way. Do you think Romney can (POOF) turn you into a Mormon? You never know…..
Do people not have freedom in this country to worship God? You are lucky if you were not treated as bad as the Mormons over history. I was raised in the Methodist persuasion, I am not Mormon, and I say, you have no right to judge. They do not hurt you. They have probably helped your town. They do not do works to be saved they do works because they believe in Christ and He tells us all to help others and do good works. Religion is between you and God. If we let Obama win this time, none of us will have the freedom to worship, bigoted or not.

  • This does not seem like such a bad thing, to curb misuse of the emergency room. Looks as tho he had an ultimatum AND that it was a Republican idea.

‘We were talking,’ recalled Stemberg, then a member of Romney’s transition team and now a managing general partner at Highland Capital Partners. ‘I said, ‘Mitt, if you really want to do a service to the people of Massachusetts, you should find a way of getting health care coverage to them.’
‘One of the things I mentioned,’ said Stemberg, a REPUBLICAN WITH CONSERVATIVE FISCAL VIEWS, AND LIBERAL SOCIAL BELIEFS, ‘was the huge number of people going to the emergency room for care at a cost of three, four, five times what it costs to go to a doctor’s office.’ That’s wrong, he told Romney, because they were passing along the cost of that care to others.
‘It struck me when Tom suggested it as being, frankly, impossible,’ Romney said recently. ‘I think I dismissed Tom out of hand.’
But external pressures would make Romney think again. One was the threatened cutoff of $385 million a year in federal funds for health care coverage for the working poor — a budget disaster that could only be averted if the state came up with a compelling and comprehensive new approach.
The other carried an even bigger price tag: More than $1 billion was being spent annually to provide ‘free’ care to the state’s uninsured, and the number was growing. Recalling his ‘aha moment,’ Romney said: ‘If we get our hands on that resource to help people buy insurance instead,

  • …’King Samir Shabazz, a former Nation of Islam member and head of the New Black Panther Party’s Philadelphia chapter, has a long history of confrontational racist behavior. He advocated racial separation and made incendiary racial statements while promoting anti-police messages in the media and on the streets of Philadelphia. He publicly announced “I hate white people. All of them.” He also suggested the killing of white babies.’

  • From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
‘The New Black Panther Party (NBPP), whose formal name is the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, is a U.S.-based black political organization founded in Dallas, Texas in 1989. Despite its name, NBPP is not an official successor to the Black Panther Party.[1] Members of the original Black Panther Party have insisted that the newer party is illegitimate and have strongly objected that there “is no new Black Panther Party”.[1] The Anti-Defamation League, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights consider the New Black Panthers to be a hate group.’

  • White people are as outraged as Black people, about the shooting of this young man.
We agree across the board on this.
We should also agree that the shooter is innocent until proven guilty.
The Justice System needs to work. Not the Justice Brothers!

  • Close the borders. Give all Un Americans a one way ticket to Venezuela to live their dream with their mentor. Or maybe China, they are so enlightened they can work off our debt.

  • ‘The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching’…..
…..Our White House firmly believes they are the only, ‘enlightened’ ones!

If people now, don’t see a dictator on the rise…..we may not even make it to the election!
