In thinking that the New Testament is not scripture, JOHNK144 needs to look at 2 Peter 3:16 where Peter, one of the apostles, states (about Paul’s letters): ….His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
So from this we know that at least one of the apostles (Peter) considered Paul’s letter to be scripture.
