  • Report: Gingrich to End Campaign Tuesday

    April 25, 2012 at 11:29am

    In reply to kaygee.

    What a joke Ron Paul is?
    @KAYGEE
    Really, you’ve convinced me, I didn’t realize until now that sound money, ending the federal reserve, and living in a free country were such terrible ideas. Yeah, you’re right man! The founding fathers had it totally wrong!!! This American Experiment was such a stupid idea.. pfft freedom? Who needs that?

    @QPWILLIE
    You assume Ron Paul supporters would vote for Mitt Romney if they would not be voting for Ron Paul. This assumption demonstrates a HUGE misunderstanding of what we Ron Paul supporters believe in.
    I will NEVER vote for Obama. And for the EXACT same reasons, I will NEVER vote for Mitt Romney.
    My voting for Ron Paul does not help Obama, because I will never vote for Mitt Romney.

  • Why does it matter? The Republican party just made itself irrelevant.

  • For those thinking this law is unconstitutional, first amendment only limits the federal government from making such laws that prohibit speech, religion etc…

    State laws are fully capable of doing so, this is why gun laws at the state level are constitutionally permissible.

    Not a jab, but understanding the Constitution before claiming something is Constitutional helps us all out.

  • If you think the game is R vs D, then you’ll hate Ron Paul for not supporting Romney.

    If you understand what this country REALLY needs then you know supporting Romney is nonsensical.

    When Romney is the nominee, as a Paul supporter, I will not suddenly support Romney. I will also not support Obama. NEITHER candidate represents a future for America.

    Just for the record… Mitt Romney is ideologically closer (much closer than you probably think!) to Obama than Paul is. If anything, Ron Paul is the antithesis to Obama. I seriously question the mental capabilities or the sincerity of any person who thinks Ron would support Obama.

  • Sanctions are just a means to an end, and the end is war with Iran. We’re being set up.

  • Some people say Ron Paul supporters, those who plan to write him in, are throwing their vote away and handing the election to Obama.

    This may be true for this election, but I’ll explain our rationale. Between Obama and Romney or Obama and Gingrich, there are hardly any real differences. You can count on one hand the actual policies that differ, not in degree, but in direction. All three wish to expand government control, although at varying rates. The country needs a reversal of policies in order to survive, and if our goal is to save our nation, then voting for either of these candidates is failure.

    I and many others are going to write-in Ron Paul’s name, not so he can win the election, as if he does not get the nomination we don’t see victory as likely. However, we are pursuing a goal, a long term goal, of bringing liberty and prosperity back to this nation. In pursuit of that goal, we must support Ron Paul who is the messenger of liberty and prosperity. He may not be the one to change America, but eventually America will have to come around, or there won’t be an America anymore.

  • The act of giving arms to criminals alone justifies asking for his resignation. The fact that those criminals would have more guns would increase their capability to do harm to others. But that is irrelavent, as the exchange of arms itself is a problem.

  • Israel could have already handled this by now if they really wanted to. The only thing holding them back is having to play nice with our government.

    I hope people will start realizing Ron Paul is Israel’s best friend in times like this.

  • I’d have to agree, most conservatives today are progressive, thinking they can impose their will on others, and they themselves are hypocrites. Liberals in the new sense, are not even close. But, I think what absolutely captured that spirit was the Liberals during the revolution and some time before then. They are certainly more similar to Libertarians today than any person who considers themself a conservative but isn’t actually a libertarian themselves.

  • All the constitution says is congress shall pass now law respecting an establishment of religion….

    So, since there is nothing else to prohobit or restrict religion elsewhere, religion, essentially, has a free pass in almost any case whatsoever. It‘s not surprising the atheists would try to invoke an article they don’t understand against an idea they don’t understand to begin with.
