California City Fines Couple for Holding Bible Study in Their Home

Yeah I am with you. While I can imagine insidious plots here and there I don’t think this is one of them. They need to form a proper church for their congregation. It’s not like they charged them with a crime just fined them for unlawful assembly in a residential neighborhood. In my town you’d require a permit for a gathering that size for any reason I believe. Just don‘t think it’s always enforced but week after week not a surprise they’d eventually say something.
