  • @cykonas:

The problem with what you are saying is that it would essentially create a 1-party system. Splitting Republicans into two strong parties will strengthen the left. If you have a 50/50 R/D now, you might have a 30/20/50 R1/R2/D split after this happened. I will not support anything that strengthens a single party… especially not the left.

  • OK, if there really is a full separation of church and state, then why does the government recognize any form of marriage at all? Most people get married at a church by a priest. That doesn’t sound religious, does it?

  • OK, so lets say it happens and our guns are gone. Libs say it will be nothing but peaceful sunshine and happiness. WRONG!!! It will be chaos. The people who commit the crimes will still have their guns but the law abiding will not. The drug lords and inner city gangs will have their run at the place.

Besides, how will I survive the zombie apocalypse if I don’t have a gun?

  • I completely agree with retesting. I would do an annual 5-10 question quick test with a full driving exam every 10. It has nothing to do with age. We require testing at 16, then never again. Have the laws changed since I got my license? You bet they did. Imagine someone who got their license 50 years ago. It is a whole new world now.

  • Yeah, but you have to be careful with that. I know salvage belongs to the person who brings it up, but most of that loot belonged to other countries. They might just demand a cut of it without paying any of our debt.

  • No, No, you have it all wrong. Obummer won’t buy this. He will continue to ride around in the Beast getting maybe 8MPG. Then, he will run a campaign giving all Americans a guilt trip for not buying a hydrogen car. What a hypocrite.

  • Wait a sec… normal contrails dissipate after a few seconds? Try a few minutes, which happens. There are nowhere near enough planes to cover the entire ground in haze in a single day. I also do not understand your comment saying that ice would fall, but the chemicals just spread covering the plants. There are plants in the sky? Check your facts before you post your conspiracy theory BS. If there are chemicals covering the area around your home, I would check the local factories before I look at the airplanes.

“I agree that this car is the worst investment a person could make but you need to check the cost of electricity. The U.S average residential retail price of electricity was 11.53 cents per kilowatt-hour in 2010. If you are paying $1.16 I suggest changing electricity companies.”

While its nowhere close to the $1.16 quoted, the 11.53 cents is not entirely accurate either. That is what people pay for generation. The electric companies, mostly due to state competetive business laws, typically charge for generation and transmission separately. It is more like 12 cents for generation and about 4-5 cents for distribution. That way, the power company gets their money for generating the electricity, while a second company can distribute it to you and charge their own amount.

  • The saddest part of all of this is that just when the American muscle car started to make a comeback, the Dems drive up gas prices to enable their agenda. The whole BP spill was just fuel for their fire (no pun intended). Now they’re trying to stop the pipeline for cheaper Canadian oil (not to mention a TON of new jobs). Now Canada will sell that oil to China and we will buy more from people who hate us.

…and the liberals blame republicans for being in the oil companies’ payroll. How about the Dems on the side of foreign oil? I think OPEC’s paying them off. That’s why Obama rides around in the Beast.

  • This should upset the climate change/anti-oil lobby. The 2 best-selling vehicles are full-size pickups, whereas the Volt is a failure. It is all well and good to promote “cleaner” vehicles, but without a reasonable price and without a reasonable purpose, they will never sell.
