  When I was younger we had a black cat named Buffy (The Rabbit Slayer). We never had to feed her because she always had a rabbit, squirrel, or bird in her mouth and the food was just go bad. She was a great cat. Any way, I used to live in a 2 story house and we had a giant oak tree in our back yard. Needless to say, the squirrels would run the telephone lines from the oak tree to the roof of the house. One evening my dad came home from work and yelled at my brother and I to hurry up and get outside. Buffy had climbed up the latice on the one side of our house and was hiding behind the chimney, picking squirrel after squirrel off. Dad went to go get the ladder to get her down and she just walked over to the edge of the house, jumped off and landed on our trampoline with no problem at all. We even brought the vet over to watch her do this and he didn’t know what to say. She would jump down, we would call her over and he looked her over and said she was fine. Wish they had camera phones back then, def a million plus hit video on Youtube lol.

  I understand that these animals probably roamed free at one time, but because of there destructive nature, I would almost put money on the fact that they are now in some kind of high fence operation. From Dictionary.com on the definition of “feral”:
  1. existing in a natural state, as animals or plants; not domesticated or cultivated; wild.
  2. having reverted to the wild state, as from domestication: a pack of feral dogs roaming the woods.

  If the bigs are indeed in a high fence operation, does that still make them “feral”? Let these farmers/ranchers be, if there is no way for the pig to escape then there is no threat.

  I also don’t believe the farmer is right in comparing a deer to a pig, even a heard of deer compared to a group of pigs. Yes deer do do damage to crops, but it is only evident when the combine starts rolling as to what the deer did. A group of pigs on the other hand decimate anything in there path, and there wallows can even alter the land itself, causing even more field work. In my opinion, if deer were considered a plague, feral hogs would be the appocalypse….

  @Ronin, If you had two fish that were the same size, I would put money on the snake head, but if you had a full grown musky and a full snake head, I would take the musky.
