  • I guess that’s a little hint about what should be a primary item in your food storage…

  • Evangelical Christian Leaders Back Santorum

I can‘t believe it’s taken this long for someone to wake up about Rick Santorum. He was a great senator for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and he’ll make a great president – even if he does look like a high school math teacher.

  • Finally! They are manufacturing OLED TV’s! Not only is the screen super-thin, the material is super energy-efficient – about 1/4 the power of the LED TV’s. Very, very cool!

  • For me, it’s the Winchester Model 94 30-30 carbine. They don‘t make ’em like they used to.

  • It looks like they left for war as boys, and they came back as men.

  • I live east of Seattle across the lake. It’s jerks like this that have made a complete mess of downtown Seattle. I never go down there any more if I don’t have to. I’m amazed at the restraint of the Seattle police. The guy in the Ski jacket and the megaphone at the beginning of the vid was not one of the usual downtown trash. He was probably a union guy.

  • I watched the show. Rather than making me more sympathetic to their situation, it made me realize that even the “moderate” Muslim is not a useful contribution to American society. The show portrays most of them as whiny ingrates. Example was this on mother who was fretting about making her daughter wear the hijab (headscarf). She was worried that the other kids at school would stare at her or make fun of her because of the hijab. Newsflash: If you don’t want the kids at school to make fun of her, don’t make her dress weird. The whole thing went on and on about how they’re soooo picked on by everyone. They really need to just grow up.

  • And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
    (KJV – Matthew 18:2, 5-6)

  • The church I attend is the old Anglican, which services unchanged from the times that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson in the Virginia colony. We pretty much sing hymns from before 1850 or so. The church is very focused on worship to God. We get a lot of young adult men attending – I think they like the structure of the service.

I’ve attended some services where they have a rock band, but I don’t feel much of the Holy Spirit. I guess the music is too distracting to me. Maybe it works for some folks, but I really don‘t think that young people are fooled into thinking they’re at a rock concert.

  • A hobbit house is nice, but give me Lothlorien any day. I’d rather live in a tree than underground.
