  • Personally, I think it’s refreshing to see a bit of a hard edge coming back into the mindset of the American soldier. Back in WWII we were tough, but now with political correctness and the BS rules of engagement, our troops can do nothing but back down and second guess their decisions. Indeed, the enemy may hate our troops more for wearing the apparel, but aren’t they already trying to kill our troops anyway? Yes, pouring gasoline onto a fire might make it bigger, but the fire was already burning in the first place.

  • Liberals will use this to further their cries for wealth equality and regulation. But here is an ample showing of the Invisible Hand guiding the market just the way it was intended: if a company mistreats its clients, at sometime, in whatever way, the Hand will take the clients elsewhere and capitalism will show its efficiency. Hat goes off to Mr. Smith for exposing poor business practices and helping clients make better decisions about who to trust.

  • To call for the silencing of a Supreme Court justice coming to talk on freedom of speech is repugnant and shameful, no matter if it’s Justice Stevens or Scalia.

If you don’t like the speaker, don’t cut class to go listen to him. Personal responsibility and thick skin has never been so rare in this country.

  • Since when did my generation become such an intolerant and ignorant bunch of pompous punks? If these students read the Constitution (first) and studied the case law behind it (second), they might (although that’s a stretch with liberal mindedness) understand and see that Scalia is right on the money 99% of the time.

Seriously, my generation makes me sick

  • Doesn’t talking on your phone (or texting) constitute “speech?” And if so, wouldn’t the passing of any law banning talking or texting be a restriction on that speech? And if so, doesn’t that violate the language of the first amendment?

Oh wait … I see the problem there. The first amendment has been so misconstrued and discombobulated, it doesn’t really stand for anything anymore. Well, at least it still looks pretty in print!

  • I’m glad to see the father stand up on this one. The abortion issue has become too much about the woman and not enough about the father. Good for him to exercise his free speech right to make the very valid point that abortion does in fact, affect the father.

  • Yes. This is how you always know an election season is coming up–those in office start making common sense moves again

  • Our very own version of vietnam.
Sad that our own citizens are now using their children as battlefield pawns

  • This is ridiculous. It looks like it’s time for the tea party to start taking over the republican establishment as well as support and back candidates.

    Joe Scarborough? Really?

  • Thus we see the breakdown of the family unit. The family is under attack by education (as well as other things). If we don’t start spending time with our children, checking their homework, becoming actively engaged in their education, and teaching them ourselves about the true history and meaning of our country and its constitution, the educational system will soon turn children against their parents. People need to suck it up after a hard day of work, turn the TV OFF and get involved in their children’s lives. Otherwise, we ourselves have much to blame for passive ignorance as our children are shaped by perverted indoctrination
