  • I was hoping that this site would avoid the issues that the 912 site had and which led to its demise, but I can see that we have the same name calling and holier than thou attitudes that will sink this ship as well. The Tea Party movement is not the exclusive club of social conservatives, but a lose confederation of FISCAL conservatives from all walks of life and social positions. If we continue to focus on what divides us then we will successfully snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We must be respectful of others and their beliefs even when we do not agree with them. I know that there are many here that find that as unconscionable, but the truth is that this country is at its best when we force fiscal conservatism on Washington. Reagan did this successfully by focusing on starving the beast and America responded because we absolutely hate big spending wasteful government. There are a lot of other issues out there, but if we can focus on securing this country for the next generation then we can put Washington back in their box, which puts all those sticky issues back into the hands of voters vice politicians and judges. Stop attacking each other and build the momentum to take back Washington.

  • It doesn’t really matter if they build the biggest and nicest stadium if the team sucks or the sport is losing fans. In this tight economy it is a heck of a lot easier to watch the games on TV or find a cheaper alternative to a $300 pair of seats. Sports are games and they don’t bring in huge amount of money into the economy (just ask Jacksonville). There are teams that do bring in the bucks like the Sox and Yankees, but those are the exception rather than the rule. Teams should pay their own way and if they want a big shiny temple the get the players and owners to pony up the cash, which there seems to be a heck a lot of if they can give out $100 million contracts and still make money.

  • Another Oil Rig Explosion

I have to say that my wife never bought the first “accident” and this makes a very convincing argument against it. I hate thinking this way, but what the heck is going on? Have the eco-nuts really gone this far to stop off-shore drilling? Are we going to have to put armed guards on every rig in the Gulf? I am the first to say we didn‘t learn our lesson about dependence on foreign oil in the 70’s, but blowing up oil rigs is not the answer to our energy problems. We need to look to nuclear, solar, wind and cleaning up coal the best we can. That is the answer, not eco-terrorrism.

  • Amen Brother!

  • Until the Republican Party establishment apologizes for there government expansion and spendthrift ways the American people will continue to not trust a word they say and keep looking to outsiders for help. The Republican Party is likely to cut its own throat once it is returned to power by the will of the people because they will see it as a license to return to business as usual, which will put an end to them for good. The American people are willing to take one last chance on the Republicans, but their tolerence for big government and wasteful spending is at an end. Republican Party enjoy your victory, but remember why America is putting you back in power.

  • The President wants everyone to stop thinking about Iraq because it was such a success for President Bush and a very sore spot of him. The fact that there are 50K troops still there is of no consequence to the current President, as the military is just little blue and green tools to him. The failure in Afghanstan will be all on him, unless by some miracle the military pulls off an upset with both hands tied behind its back. I wish all my fellow brothers in arms the best of luck with this President.

  • PBS: Biden Grudgingly Gives Bush Credit

    September 1, 2010 at 2:12pm

Biden has always had it in him because he is the only one in the administration that hasn’t fully drank the Obama kool-aid. I am sure that he was speaking off script again and there will be heck to pay when he returns home.

  • I was wondering that myself, what are the odds of two totally crazy stories being about the same car make in the same day. I know Dodge Chargers are popular, but who knew they were crazy magnets.
