Black GA Legislators Sue to Dissolve ‘Super-Majority White Cities’
March 29, 2011 at 6:34pm
I am form this area. For years under a democratic cotrolled state legislature these areas of North Fulton County sent their tax dollars to South Fulton. The citizens of these areas did not feel they were being heard on matters such as zoning and county services. When the republicans took control of the sate legislature the citizens got a chance to form a city government where they could deploy their resources and have representation for their backyard issues instead of resources being deployed into the sinkhole of the general Fulton County fund. Fulton County still gets their tax dollars just not as much as in the past. The remainder stays in local coffers where it can be used on local issues. What’s wrong with that? Didn’t we fight a revolution over taxation without representation?
