  Why did he keep calling the Fifth a “privilege?” Isn’t it a right? (Not that I approve of what he did, but I’m more concerned with a trend in the direction of calling the Bill of Rights “privileges.”)

  Kennedy was wrong. Hospitals have rules. We all know that. Two things I haven’t seen in a quick scan of these comments: it’s winter, what’s with the sudden need for fresh air. And why the violent altercation? That kind of extreme behavior would be warranted only if he was protecting the baby from evil nurses who wante to inject the child with bird flu. A simple calm conversation with a new father not infected with entitlement should have brought him to reason.

  As a Santa Fe resident myself, I see first-hand the rigid “if you‘re not with us you’re against us” attitude among the Left here. I‘ve had gay friends who told me that they won’t be my friend anymore because I’m indifferent about the gay marriage issue. One Thanksgiving I had a dinner planned but one person said he decided that he wouldn’t come because his gratitude was around the Democratic win (this was 2008) and he knew that I would be seething. With his departure everyone else cancelled as well. At another dinner party a guest stood up and said, “George Bush is a a-hole and I’m leaving.” The only reason why she didn’t go far was because her husband had the keys to the car, so she sat on the sofa and sulked the rest of the evening (and all this happened BEFORE I woke up politically). On a walk in my neighborhood a couple of months ago I welcomed a new neighbor. As we stood at the end of the driveway and chatted, he told me that all Republicans are racist. Santa Fe is a screwed up town. I’m not one bit surprised about this hair stylist. Too bad. I’ve been looking for a new stylist myself. Scratch him off my list.

  Yeah…this time Glenn got it wrong. This was a joke on judges who ham it up sensing their big chance at a Hollywood gig. The Rita Wilson character is a Hollywood attorney. So this judge was performing for her.

  This gets closer and closer to Atlas Shrugged. There‘s a passage in that book where companies couldn’t stop makings product just because was unprofitable. What if these companies decided to stop making contraceptives?
