  Lincoln Chafee is an embarassment to this Rhode Island resident.

  He was voted in as Governor in a field of SEVEN candidates with 123,398 votes out of 341,810 votes cast out of 701,307 registered voters. No doubt there are lots of fraudulent registrations, since the total population of RI is 1,053,209. Statistics place the number of persons registered to vote at about 70% of those who are eligible to register. So if that statistic holds true, then that means that 100% of the population in RI is eligible to vote. In other words, politics as usual in Rhode Island.

  At BEST, Chafee was elected by 10% of the population. He now has to pander to those who voted him in (Progressives, Latinos, Gay Community). He does NOT want to be on local talk radio because he will be called to account by the 90% of the Rhode Island population that did NOT vote for him and do NOT support his agenda. He is a spineless coward.

  As a former, PROUD member of the United States Coast Guard, I find it extremely aggravating and insulting that Obama and many people posting here do not consider the Coast Guard as part of our Armed Forces.

  The five uniformed services that make up the Armed Forces are defined in 10 U.S.C. § 101(a)(4):
  The term “armed forces” means the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

  Prior to 9/11, the Coast Guard was under the Department of Transportation because of the vital peacetime missions they perform. In time of war, controls transfer to the Department of the Navy. Therefore, the Coast Guard has to be fully prepared and trained to assume their wartime role under the US Navy. A Coast Guardsman (Douglas Albert Munro) earned the Medal of Honor, the highest MILITARY award of the United States. Numerous Coast Guardsmen have earned the Navy Cross and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

  Today, the Coast Guard operates under the Department of Homeland Security and is actively and vigorously defending the Homeland in the War on Terrorism.

  I don’t expect everyone to know these facts but the Commander in Chief should know them!

  We’re all being treated like criminals now and subjected to unconstitutional searches because our government is too politically correct to use PROFILING to scrutinize the people that are actually trying to kill us – Muslim Jihadists. They‘ve got CAIR out shaking their finger if we’re not ‘sensitive’ to the Muslim world. The Muslim Jihadists have won their war against us. I can‘t wait until we get a President with some ’cojones’!
