New Jersey School District OKs Random Drug Testing for Middle School Students
July 30, 2011 at 2:03pm
The school administrations in Arkansas have been drug testing since at least 2001 (that is jr. high and high schoolers). Being as I was drug tested several times during my stint in high school I can attest that in fact drug testing does not curb use of drugs. the only thing I can recall the drug “screening” policy doing is creating dissent among the students and encouraging just a general lack of respect for teachers and the administration. Kids are going to use drugs no matter what, they will always find ways around drug testing, searches, etc. Remember if you treat kids like prisoners/animals/whatever, they will act like them.
