  Instead of spending millions and millions on tshirts, bags, bubble wrap, phone covers, football cleats, jerseys, hats, whistles, sweat rags and every other random thing, why don’t people actually take all the money and donate it to cancer research; all of it. Not 3%, not 10%, all of it!!!!! That would actually do some good, not walking around like it’s a freaking fashion trend.

  i use facebook to “spread the word” about various topis, share links from the blaze, GB, etc. i have no pics of my kids or info about my family, but this is still way over the top. i think people got off myspace because they started changing it every month. facebook may have just pulled a netflix, and committed suicide on this one.

  That’s the problem, too many people are changing God to fit the person instead of changing the person to fit God. For one, if you are expecting to go to heaven for any reason, then your spiritually arrogant and need to reevaluate your faith. If you think you’re good enough for heaven, then you feel there is no improvement needed. Secondly, there are too many “fun” churches these days. The leaders and congregation are too concerned about being happy, entertained and enjoying the service. Did anyone ever think how much “fun” Jesus was having when he was eating his last meal, stripped of his clothes, beaten, hung on the cross and died. Church is not about fun, it is about having an intimate relationship with Jesus and coming to him in a time of need as well as times of joy, to share our lives with him. Until people realize that, the churches will continue to suffer and ultimately, people will fall further and further away from God and religion.

  I live in Austin and although I don‘t agree with a lot of Perry’s policies, it‘s nice that he’s actually out here, getting in the nitty-gritty and being a part of this tragedy along with the rest of us. He’s not pulling an “obama’s playing golf”, which FYI- the Austin fire chief is doing just that. He is in Colorado, playing golf, extending his Labor Day vacation while we have firefighters from all over the state and help from other states to control this thing. He must be best friends with Obama or something?

  What an idiot! Here’s an idea, how about we let her give birth to the baby at 20 weeks and then she can watch the doc perform her selfish procedure and see if the baby cries. If it’s true that babies feel no pain, it shouldn’t matter if the baby is in or out of the womb.

  There’s one of these types of billboards in Central Texas too for a different church. Although I see where this pastor is trying to come from, I still think it’s wrong. Using reverse psychology on adults to “make them believe in God” or get in a heated debate isn’t really a positive way of doing things. If someone doesn‘t believe in God and doesn’t want to have an open heart about why Christians do believe, then so be it. I do believe it is our job to spread the Word and encourage people to follow God’s Will and teachings, and to teach the Bible, etc. But being a Christian Church and “tricking” someone into seeing your website doesn’t seem like it would get butts in the church. It‘s a blatant lie and I don’t think would rub well with someone who is unsure of which “side” to chose.

  Wow, the American way of laziness. One more crying excuse to not work or have bazaar laws or make someone else pay for your injuries. Last time I checked, you could get hurt in some capacity in nearly every job and if it pains you too much to put sheets one why don’t you get another job? I feel so sorry for the people in that state that are normal!!
