  • Idiot. You don’t think tension was high in that situation? You have the right to video all you want, from …oh, I’d say 50 feet away or so. But when you get that close the cops dont know if you are going to jump on their backs, so they make you leave. If you don’t leave the scene, you are violating a lawful order and subject to arrest. Cops have rights too, and right to safety is one of them.

  • You sir, are a douchebag.

  • The guy was not shot because he was breaking glass. He was shot because he went after a cop with an ice axe. If two armed citizens shot a guy five times for breaking glass, they would go to jail for murder. If two armed citizens shot a guy for attacking them with an ice axe, no problem…self defense.

  • Uh, genius…our training teaches us to use a gun in that kind of situation. Can I hit you with a five foot long metal pole? Are you willing to get a broken arm, ribs, head or dead? I’m not getting a career ending injury trying to arrest someone swinging a metal bar at me. Same goes for the police dog. They take thousands or dollars and months to train. They are not a disposable resource. Do you really thing a dog would not be hurt getting hit with the same pole? They did pepper spray him. Big deal, it stings. It only deters unwilling subjects. If you are focused, it’s easy to fight through it. Tasers require TWO good probe hits to work. The guy was wearing a thick jacket. Must not have been good hits. They are less lethal weapons, not Buck Rogers ray guns. Sometimes they don’t work. Clearly the guy went after the cop. All bets are off at that point. No more pepper spray, no more Taser. Now you do what you have to to ensure you go home in one piece at the end of your shift.

    In reply to mscott2112.

You local state, county and city cops have NOTHING to do with the Patriot Act. That’s a federal act. The Feds are generally bozos. And FYI, yes, cops write search warrants, which a judges reviews before signing to make sure it is legal. If there is a valid warrant, then there is no violation of the 4th amendment. 4th amendment doesn’t protect you from ANY search and seizures, just illegal ones. And no, you don’t get to decide which ones are legal. That’s why we have courts.

  • Well, 2godbetheglory, you can say you know me…and I wouldn’t do that. It’s all a game sorta. It’s the crooks job not to get caught, and it’s my job to catch them. Sometimes they win and there is nothing I can do about it. But, they rarely quit being a crook and we eventually catch them at something else. We really only deal with about three percent of the population. We just deal with them over and over and over. Gets to the point that you know the names and birthdays of most of the people we deal with, because we deal with them so much. I must be honest, I don’t recall any of your posts, so I won’t make any comments there. The fact you answered my reply shows you are intelligent. The people on here that expect cops to be perfect, and then if they are not, advocate killing them and taking away all they have worked for, are the ignorant ones. They really need to learn the laws and how they apply. Love your screen name by the way. JOHN 15:13.

  • Nope. I actually agree with it. If there is enough probable cause to warrant putting a tracker on a car, it should be good enough to get a search warrant to put the tracker on. I’m actually more comfortable knowing we will have the permission of the courts if we do it. Contrary to public opinion, cops dont just put trackers on everyday joes vehicle to see what he is doing. It’s usually a drug dealer and they are trying to find out where he lives, or where he stores his dope, etc. Does this post surprise you?

  • You sir, sound like a rational thinking, prudent man with a grasp of reality. Thank you.

  • Seriously? Are you that naive!? Dude, when I google my OWN house it shows the wrong address! It shows the house next door to me! I believe google even states their maps are not always accurate. Does that agency even have computers in their cars. The agency of the city I live in does not. The still use Thomas guides.

  • Your are dumb. You use to be able to be a cop with a high school diploma, now most are requiring a degree. You people really think you know how law enforcement works, but you don’t, because you are lazy.
