  ALEXPHANTOM – Yes, of course I did not mean do not get medical attention if anything seems amiss. Absolutely do that!! I just meant as a handy disinfectant that is easy to carry around to have to use immediately upon getting a cut. I too am a firm user of alternative medicine but know enough about my body to know when it’s time to involve a MD and which things require dual care. I guess I did not word my initial post clearly – sorry.

  Gosh I hope you are not actually a Tea Party member. No one I know that is speaks as you did about “getting violent”. It’s not the Tea Party way. We are smarter, saner than that.

  Horrible if it’s true, but those photos seriously look photoshopped, and bad photoshopped at that. Look how white the shirt is compared to others clothing in the pics. Have to vote not real. I don‘t use Tumblr so I can’t check.

  I’ve started carrying a little tiny bottle of tea tree oil in my car and purse to put on cuts or scrapes where ever I am. I’ve always had it at home and have used it for about 25 years as our disinfectant but only recently began carrying it everywhere. Other than carrying around some EverClear, which would burn like crazy, it’s the best thing I can think of. Any docs want to comment?

  On a serious note, we’ve lived in 5 homes, 4 of which had high back decks. All 4 on inspection were found to be structurally unsound and had to be re-supported before we bought the house. If you’ve lived in a home for a good long while – check your deck from time to time. Most construction grade decks are not built to last or to hold much weight. These kids were really fortunate it was not very high up.

  @HELLONOAM – Thank you. It’s not really funny. Most people when they take a public tumble do try to make light of it at the immediate moment and that’s a great attitude to have. And she uploaded it, again great attitude to have. But this looked like a nasty whack and fall to me and I’m sure she was in pain later – which she says is the case “saw stars, head bled, thigh bruised” – I would guess fairly badly bruised by the force of the hit. Does not even come close to “one of the funniest bloopers you’ll ever see”. She was lucky not to have been really seriously injured.
