  Christianity is the only religion/worldview that teaches the utter depravity and sin nature of mankind along with the absolute necessity of a spotless, sinless, perfect sacrifice. This was foretold in Isaiah 53, 700 years before God decided to visit us in the form of Yeshua Messiah and culminated with the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. As many have pointed out, this is clearly what C.S. Lewis intended to represent. And I believe the symbolism stands up to its criticism. It simply does not make sense for it to symbolize anything else.

  Of equal importance is the fact that Aslan returned on the scene and rescued the Narnians. Yeshua also is coming back, as the Lion of Judah, first to rescue those who trust and believe on him and then to judge the nations (Revelation 19:11).

  Anyway, what Liam Neeson thinks won’t stop me from seeing the movie, he is an actor and his job is to entertain. I think he is good at his job. However, what he thinks will prompt me to pray that he comes to know his creator and savior.
