  I guess It will not be advisable for the public to be playing the role of a good samaritan when you see someone in a Chevy Volt or a Toyota Prius when these cars are involved in a crash. Just stand there and look at the people in the cars til the government trained first responders arrive.

  Also insurance premiums must be very high on these type of cars since most likely they are a total loss, especially after the wire harness is cut.

  ask any body who works as a Toyota franchise dealer technician about how many tech/ mechanics that have died and have been severely shocked working on the Toyota Prius.

  The Prius came out in the early 2000′s and the DOE was not educating the firefighters back then about the dangers of the high voltage batteries and electrical systems of the Prius, but of course the government did not own Toyota like they own GM today.

  Wait til there is a bad enough car crash where the other cars involved will be in danger of dying from the batteries and high voltage electrical systems. It may have not happen yet with the Toyota Prius but anything is possible. It only took how long before 2 space shuttles blew up? Everything fails in one way or another.

  I like that protest sign that said “stop PG&E smart meters”.

  I like how these protests have no problem giving out all their personal info on google and face or twitter any many other websites but they have a problem with goolge and PG&E keeping track of their electricity usage.

  Don’t they know that these smart meters will help them keep track of their power usage making them more responsible in the amount and way they use power.
