  • You leathernecks aren’t the only ones who think those boobys in NYC have lost their beautiful minds. Having grown up in the birthplace of American Liberty, you can have my weapon only when you pry it out of my cold rigor mortised hands!.

  • @Mommy_of_3

And now we have a new place to use the phrase, “Don’t ask – don’t tell.“ I was ”released” from a job because I was lawfully carrying (CCW-licensed). Let’s be honest; I did make a mistake. I had to take a dump, and left my PPK on the back of the toilet.

Listen to this phrase from from the personnel policy booklet: ” More specifically, we are committed to the following:” …and one of those statements is, “Prohibiting the possession of firearms or other dangerous weapons in the workplace.”

Isn’t that a violation of my 2nd Amendment rights to have a statement like that buried on page 15 of the Policies Summary Handout Booklet?

  • …and to the start of this thread…about carrying or not carrying on AMTRAK…tell me, who owns AMTRAk? We the people, or each individual state? And…if AMTRAK is a federal function, then would not Federal law apply and be applicable should any wrong-doing occur (robbery, assault, etc.?) If federal law applies, then does not the second amendment trump any state law?

    Jest askin’.

  • Yes…and then we could all study The Ferengi “Rules of Acquisition” and the Ferengi lifestyle and THEIR rules about the dress of females.

  • Glenn, you better take a week off and come up to my neck of the woods.

Pastor Stephen Brody is 100% correct in his violent overthrow comments. It is a last option, granted. However, have you bothered to research the “Original” tea party? Have you bothered to research “The Boston Massacre?” Have you even considered researching the Battles of Lexington and Concord? That whole series of events were last action events…and look what came of it. Only the best nation in the history of man.

While I will agree with you that violent overthrow should not be considered lightly, I would remind you of the words of Captain John Parker of Minuteman fame…a man who died of tuberculosis (sp?) not five months later:

“Stand your ground. Do not fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have war, let it begin here.”

Pastor Brody is 100% correct…and stands on firm ground saying it.
