  I’m missing something here. If you don’t agree with the Catholic doctrine, leave.

  I think that these Bishops want to keep all the perks of being a Catholic Bishop, they just don’t want to have to uphold the commitment they swore to. If you decide that the Pope is not channeling the word of God, then you are not a Catholic. Pick another religion that gives you the choice of picking and choosing, there are plenty out there.

  Did they ask anyone in the LDS leadership if the book was offensive? Is Brette Stevenson, a parent of a Henley Middle School student, who complained about it even a Mormon? That is never mentioned even in the cited article and I refuse to just assume.

  I’ve been in Southern California my whole life (since 1954) and I didn’t feel/notice an earthquake until 1972. I’ve been through quite a few since then, There is nothing you can do to stop it, so you get to a door frame or to a table and ride it out. Panic doesn’t help. Running outside just gives the stuff falling off the building a target.

  Japan has noticeable quakes all the time, so you become inured to them…Is it just a rattle, or does it keep getting bigger? You basically pray that last jolt was the biggest one.

  I get so confused! What does the left want? Are we a Global community taking care of each other, are we an isolationist nation that must strip our military down to just Home Defense (lol) and appropriate Michael Moore’s money to distribute to our poor, or are suppose to stop genocides anywhere in the world…as long as we don’t hurt anybody…taking Micheal Moore’s money to fund the U.N. force child molesters?
