As a consequence of the business climate, high taxes, and destructive government policies, California lost $29 BILLION in productive income generation from 1999-2009 to tax migration. California was second only to New York. Low tax states, all right-to-work states, gained the most.

Really? California receives an ‘F’! How is this possible?
Well, as a fourth-generation native California, please allow me to tell you how.
California ALREADY has the 2nd highest marginal tax rate in the nation. California’s next highest rate would be 4th highest in the nation. California Governor Jerry Brown wants California to have the highest rates in the nation.

Naturally, being a tax-exempt organization with a stable, taxpayer-financed, state-mandated dues-oriented revenue stream gives you certain advantages — especially when nearly all your campaign contributions go to only one party.

Anderson Cooper Blasts MoveOn.org Spokesman for Deceptive Ad Regarding GOP and Women’s Health
May 4, 2012 at 6:54pm
This shouldn’t be news to anyone that knows anything about MoveOn.org. They’re not a general advocacy group. They’re an advocacy group for the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party, which would include Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama. Essentially, MoveOn.org is just like Media Matters, Think Progress, etc. They exist to support the Democratic Party.

Naturally, MoveOn.org has a different opinion, likely because it legally must to retain its tax-exempt status. From http://civic.moveon.org/owsfaq/share.html
IS MOVEON A FRONT FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY?
We believe working together to elect candidates who share our values and defeat those who don’t is a KEY WAY FOR PROGRESSIVES TO BUILD THE POWER WE NEED TO WIN ECONOMIC AND OTHER PROGRESSIVE REFORM. But MoveOn is and always has been an independent organization. By law, MoveOn Political Action’s ability to coordinate with or donate directly to any candidate is severely restricted. We do independently fundraise and work for progressive candidates who garner the endorsement of MoveOn members in an open vote.
BECAUSE THE CANDIDATES WE SUPPORT ARE PROGRESSIVE, THEY TEND TO BE DEMOCRATS OR MEMBERS OF INDEPENDENT PROGRESSIVE PARTIES LIKE THE WORKING FAMILIES PARTY, …

We could certainly use some reinforcements out here. If you can’t come personally, please send money. There are a variety of conservative groups attempting to pull California out of its current death spiral. Currently, we’re all prisoners of the well-funded California Democratic Party machine.

Congressman Stark of California, my home state, should be the national poster child for Congressional term limits.
* He doesn’t actually even officially reside in the State of California. He receives tax deductions on his Maryland tax return for his primary residence on a waterfront home in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=ar6P5ZQE.F7Y
* Fully 91% of his 2010 campaign donations came from people or organizations from OUTSIDE CALIFORNIA. 93% of those donations were from Political Action Committees (PACs).
http://influenceexplorer.com/politician/pete-stark-d/6b159f6cbcef4bc6a338b217bd019b33?cycle=2010
* Congressman Stark is kept in office by the power California Democratic Party machine. The list includes the top two spenders in California politics (California Teachers Association and SEIU), plus many California members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Many of these politicians fought citizen-based redistricting reforms — a very un-democratic thing to do.
http://www.petestark.com/petes-endorsements
* Even the Left-leaning San Francisco Chronicle this week endorsed Congressman Stark’s opponent for the California Primary Election in June.

Report: Tax Loophole Pays Out Billions in Tax Credits to Illegal Aliens
May 3, 2012 at 4:34pm
FINALLY! It‘s only been nine months since the Treasury Inspector General’s report was released. I’ve been attempting to highlight this far and wide.
http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/auditreports/2011reports/201141061fr.html
Speaking of media denial, here’s a very under-reported story about another illegal alien. This poor woman is living in taxpayer-funded housing, receives taxpayer-funded medical care, and feels completely entitled to both and deserves to be here. That by itself isn’t news. However, her nephew is a highly-placed elected official with the Obama Administration, who only earned $5.5 million one year …

… and over $780,000 in another.

Station WBZ-TV in Boston did a little-publicized exposé on the entire situation.
