  • Wow, this article has a one-word answer: YES.

I pray for the world; there are even tougher times ahead.

  • I have tears in my eyes looking at this picture…God bless this woman, this noble American, and her family. Continue her amazing healing and bring one of America’s future leaders back to us…and bring this beloved woman back to her family. God bless Gabby Giffords!

  • Thank you Glenn, for your efforts to depoliticize a tragedy and reground our thoughts and hearts in relation to this issue and the other issues facing our country. God bless, sir.

  • Doh, accidental click, sorry all! I’ve spoken my piece on this tragedy and related subjects on this article (I think) and others. Thanks all.

  • It honestly doesn’t matter where this guy sits politically. He has ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT injecting his personal political opinions into an ongoing criminal and federal investigation, especially when he is the lead. What motivated him to do this? Other than a bunch of cameras and mics in his face? It’s unnecessary, unprofessional, and inappropriate. His position is supposed to be apolitical, and his conduct is just shameful; he is entitled to his opinion but he had no right injecting it into this investigation which is already igniting already burning political fires. What a fool he looks like right now taking this horrific event and putting his personal political spin on it and in turn being a new source of “vitriol” and “rhetoric” that he himself is condemning. Classless.

  • What LibObserver and White TeaParty don’ tell you is that this woman used to be a REPUBLICAN, and self-identified as a conservative and Blue Dog Democrat. This was a person who could reach across both sides of the aisle.

You can’t sit there and claim it was an attack on just a Democrat when her track record indicates she has voted for and supported bipartisan policies throughout most of her career. Those facts alone are making your arguments invalid. This wasn’t an attack against a Democrat or even Democratic or liberal policies — she is as moderate as they come, so arguments from each side of the aisle carry less weight in that respect. This was an attack on a LAWMAKER, a symbol of this “evil fairytale” this psychopath concocted in his own deluded mind. Are you even doing any research on this young man before you say the things you’re saying?

You are both just here to incite conflict. You don’t defend your points, you just make blanket incendiary statements with no factual backing of any kind.

The “cross hairs” page you talk about was something that SHOULD have been removed right after the election, but obviously SarahPAC needs to hire a new webmaster. It is unfortunate that she was associated with this event and the left won’t shut up about it for awhile. I will say perhaps some people on the right need to change the way they approach certain issues in the future, lest they continue to make themselves easy targets in an event like this.

The political atmosphere in this country is getting very hostile, dangerous, toxic, and very dark. It’s getting scary, more so each day. Look how vicious people are becoming on this site. We build up so much animosity for each other. Dammit, we may disagree, but even in the wake of this tragedy, look at us…is there no end? Never mind, I’ll shut up, of course there is no end.

I just hope this killer gets the worst possible consequences for his crimes and that the victims and their families can find healing and solace in the days to come.

  • This shooter was all over the place. He had some right-leaning beliefs, such as the gold standard and reading Ayn Rand’s We the Living (which is an anti-communism book from a very pro-capitalism author). But he also had some left-leaning views such as reading the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf (which the left tried for the last 70 years or so to convince the public was a right-wing book), not to mention lack of emphasis on God (or in his case, total disenfranchisement from God). The only political party I would affilite him with is LOONEY (and possibly anti-Semitic). I think it’s a horrific move by the left to come out and paint this guy as a result of Beck, Palin, and Limbaugh though — has the right made the opposite accusations and collations regarding the left? Did Beck and Hannity and O’Reilly come out say anything like, “Damn that Ed Schultz and Keith Olberman! They should apologize!” No, not that I’ve seen. What about any of you? Name one example where they did, please. However, MSNBC is chomping at the bit to blame this on the right. Just deplorable. This tragic atrocity is still ongoing; can we heal first and stop making this political? Juan Williams said it himself on Fox; it’s really hard to peg this guy down to what ideology had. Just crazy. I lean center-right myself, but I am not sitting here jumping to throw this at the left (I was for a short time, but I retract my previous statements which were reactionary). Until we know more, I hope we can just focus on staying informed and keeping all those affected by this heinous act in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless America.

  • Well said! We’ll make a note of that for future encounters with such stupidity. :-)

  • Notice how the leftist instigators — BeckIsNuts, and others — are now maintaining radio silence. How expected, now that the truth about the madman is coming out.

God speed the vitcims’ recoveries, grant peace and strength to the families, and GOD BLESS AMERICA.
