  Don’t bother responding to me. I am done with this site. I held out hope that Mitt was not a shill for the corporations but clearly he is not. I held out hope that Glenn was an honest seeker of truth but clearly he is not. There have been half a dozen pro Mitt and Anti Muslim articles thrown up here the past couple of days. Sheep…. WAKE UP! I hope those who said they could never vote for a Mormon can see that Obama’s agenda is far worse. Brigham Young’s Utah (though not ideal by any stretch) is still better than Mao’s China, Stalin’s Russia, and Hitler’s Germany!!! INOCULATE THE ELECTORATE NOW or choose another nominee!!!   In a proper society, there would be no taxes on income… only “taxexs” on consumption from blanket, nonprotectionist, tarriffs (paid before or as goods enter the country by the importer and/or exporter). Excise taxes on gasoline and other goods to pay for certain specific projects as well such as road/bridge maintenance for example. This too should be local rather than federal as the locals can allocate those funds much more appropriately.

  Also, return to a constitiutional government dramatically reducing spending thereby reducing the need for huge government revenues.

  Hard money to bridle big government spending and inflation.

  No government subidies for anything. If you subsidize something, you get more of it. Besides, it is divisive. For instance, a pro-lifer should not be expected to subsidize abortion nor should a progressive have to subsidize state executions. That is precisely the problem with foreign aid. If indivduals want to subsidize AIDS in Africa, Pakistan, Israel, Egypt, Planned Parenthood or State Executions then they can cut a check.

  You see, the truly “free” market unites rather than divides.

  Thank you for your well thought out response. I too have friends and family having to survive within System D (the second largest and likely fastest growing economy in the world).

  I hope you are right. That is exactly what I am trying to prevent with initiating the dialogue now rather than letting the divisive statist left wing media do it in October. We need to coalesce or choose another candidate. As far as hiding behind an IP address, I don’t want the spotlight or media attention. My wife and I have had that experience and it sucks. They lie even Fox. They always have an agenda and try to manipulate you into answering the question the way they want you to. That is why they pester you until no end until you acquiesce or get mad either of which suits them. The only journalist anyone in my family has had any positive experience with is Sanjiv Bhattacharya. He was able to put his bias aside and write an excellent book on Mormon Fundamentalism. I highly recommend it. I suppose if you tried even a little bit, you could track me down. Do it if you like. You are welcome at my campfire anytime.

  Bog, he probably stopped reading at full of crap. You defend your position admirably otherwise. It would have come across as an honest doctrinal disagreement otherwise. I respectfully disagree with your premise but at least you have a reason.
