  • I’m more interested in what was being discussed at the summit.

  • Encinom- your right,a bishop does not have the right to choose which life has more value. Nor does the mother, family or hospital-especially when it’s a catholic hospital funded by the church.Any means to save the life of the mother is fine as long as the baby is not deliberately murdered. Fortunately, because of medical advancements the risks for a mother to have to face a decision as to her life or the baby rarely happens and most moms would want to doctors to save the baby.-St.Gianna

  • encinom-your right again. Not even a Bishop has the right to choose which life is more valuable. Not the family, not the mother- not the hospital. Everyone has the right to live we don’t pick which lives are of more value. The doctors do the best they can and try to save the mom and child and as long as Doctors don’t deliberately kill the child as a means to save the mother than no murder takes place.

  • Encinom-murdering one person to save another?Who gets to judge which life is more valuable? Do want a human person to make the decision on how valuable you are?

  • Encinom,
you are right-there are atheists who believe in natural law..like murder is wrong, stealing is wrong etc..and they are fighting for our foundational freedoms.

  • Obama has given the Christians,Jews, and those that value natural law an issue to unite on. Our country is rooted in Judeo christianity and natural law. Really, Obama should have been more patient and delivered his threat after the election. We believe our rights come from God,not Obama. The Catholic Church may have some of its members betray it but it’s not going away. We aren’t afraid to fight the good fight.

  • It’s a blessing to have this grab for power during an election year. We still have the power to elect a candidate who respects life, pro-religious freedom and believes that America is good. Rather than having the candidates accuse and attack each other they should be addressing the executive orders that this administration is imposing on Americans. People say that this election is about the economy but if that‘s all we’re worried about than we will become not like Europe but China.

Agree, he won’t beat Obama. That’s why the liberals/Democrats are slamming Newt and would do same to Santorum if he were better in polls-they want Mitt to be the candidate.
They played this same game four years ago…they didn’t go after McCain until he was the candidate then they went after his lukewarmness. Our candidate better disagree with everything that Obama and liberals stand for.

We could all be like the muslim nations and stay stagnant or regress. I actually prefer a president who actually thinks science discoveries is something to strive for. It’s refreshing to have a candidate who believes that America can do great things. The republican establishment can‘t stand the idea of Newt because he won’t play by their rules and unlike Romney he actually has ideas that would make American’s less dependent on government.
