  • Beyond the craziness of different standards for men and women, (which make no sense to me) what kind a wimp is this guy? I’m probably over twice his age and can whip off 50+. The guy should have known the standard and worked out so that he could meet it.

  • Obama’s speech was written by the serial plagiarizer, Joe Biden. That’s also why the comprehension level is at the 8th grade level. We should be proud of Joe, though. For him, that’s really pushing it.

  • @ David11,

True, however, the lower tax rate is primarily a function of having a Republican controlled House. Don’t forget, Obama has been preaching that “the ‘rich’ should pay their fair share” since he was elected.
(Translation: raise taxes on high wage earners). Even going back to his first year in office when he passed his so-called “stimulus” bill of over $787B (a mind-boggling waste of the taxpayers’ money), he insisted that taxes should be raised “to pay for it”. This is the real truth. He wants to raise taxes, but can’t with a Republican House standing in his way. Why do you think he’s been preaching class warfare constantly–trying to galvanize public opinion against the Republicans and the so-called 1%? This, like everything else he has tried, has failed–it has only served to further divide this country and set us against each other.

And, based on the above article, it seems that even his own senior advisors do not think that BO is on the correct path. So blast away at the “neocons” if it makes you feel better, but you’re completely missing the real target–BO and his economic vision of America..

  • @Ritonmom–the BEST yet!!! Thank you!

  • This guy is the penultimate definition of “empty suit”. What makes him such a comical character is that he is totally arrogant and condescending to others while, at the same time, he is an empty-headed doofus. I swear, if this guy ever had an original and rational thought in his brain, it would die of boredom.

  • Duncan blaming “No Child” is like the convicted bank robber blaming the bank for having all that money available. Rather than taking personal responsibility (Duncan, NEA, teachers) for failing to meet the performance standards, Duncan chooses to blame the standards for being there. Oh, and that dastardly George W. Bush . . . this administration’s favorite excuse for their own failures. Grow up!

  • I so proud of our President. He is a towering figure who commands respect from all . . . I‘m surprised Ahmadinejad just didn’t send him to bed without his supper.

  • The College Republicans should have saved some of that deodorant for the stink that is coming out of the Iowa State English department.

  • As a considered expert in these matters (senior HR executive) my read on this story is that religion had nothing to do with this case, but instead, his downgrade to P/T and subsequent termination had everything to do with refusing a direct order from his supervisor; i.e. not taking the vacation and then taking it anyway. My guess is that he also gave a considerable amount of “attitude” when being denied his requested time off–further exacerbating the issue.

This is a very common tactic used by people fired for cause–they hire an attorney and claim some type of discrimination (race. sex, age, religion, etc.). Unfortunately, it usually works as most companies find it easier/faster/cheaper to settle than to fight out every such case in court.

  • Islam=religion of peace and tolerance!
