  If there was something better to offer us, there would be no need to worry. Consumers should be able to choose if they prefer higher upfront costs with lower maintenance costs or a lower upfront cost with a higher maintenance cost. That decision should not be put into the hands of the federal government or any “non-profit” organization that earns millions of dollars annually due to the forceful hand of the federal government.

  Yes – they have the best deep dish pizza! I love to go to Giordana’s when I am there, and maybe get a gooseneck to wash it down with.
  The real question is can anything from the government be good? You give them an inch and they will take a mile. Our representatives have been giving inch after inch for over 100 years, now they can do whatever they like to us. We have lost most of our freedoms already, it is only a matter of time until the feds take it all from us.

  @shupp – you are an idiot. No 3 year old, traveling with siblings, mother, father, and grandparents is a security threat. Can wheelchairs be used to hide something? Sure – lets look at people who may be traveling this way and have an ounce of suspicion.
  If you need this type of harassment to feel “safe”, that is fine. Ordinary people such as myself would choose another type of airport, airline, etc. that is checking people well enough to satisfy any safety concern that I may have. Unfortunately, the government does not allow private business to give me this type of choice and forces these unlawful searches down my throat anytime I want to fly somewhere.
  Let the airlines and airports decide how to handle this best. The airlines have the most to lose if one of their planes is bombed, so let them decide the best method for keeping us safe, and I will take their alternative (and my choice in the matter) any day over government intervention.

  Yeah – it is great that are law enforcement officials are able to storm into anyone’s property at any time for any reason that they deem necessary, and that some schmuck like Rep. King is allowed to take part in these law enforcement activities with no training at all! The war on drugs is a war on the american people – we don’t need Rep. King in charge of the DHS, we need DHS to be disbanded. Making drugs illegal makes criminals out of good citizens – you need to wake up and help stop the violation of our rights by this oppressive government, whether it is D‘s or R’s in charge makes no difference.
