  • Gee, might this be the same Farrakahn that admitted involvement in the murder of Malcolm X, after his realization that the hate perpetuated by the Muslim Brotherhood was NOT the answer? I’m still wondering why, since there is no statute of limitations on murder, this nasty creature has not been charged for that involvement.

  • Will each of us pick up the flag of this fallen patriot soldier and continue the battle for man’s freedom, with malice toward none, and our eyes fixed on the natural rights of man gifted from our Creator?

  • @elena2010: Well said. I heard a brain surgeon speak about his “near death experience”. He had been brain dead for over a week after a deadly infection, and they were ready and urging to pull the plug-almost had his wife agreeing to it. His brain activity monitoring showed an unexpected restart of activity. During the subsequent interview, this well-respected Mass. doctor revisited what happened to him during this time-the people he met, the places he saw, why he was told that it wasn’t his time to die. He considers himself to be a man of science, but emphatically asserts that science couldn’t even begin to explain the experience that he had, or the change in his dire medical condition. In matters of life, we need to be very careful to err on the side of life. We have no idea how little we really know. Absolutes are a fool’s arrogance.

  • Turned off “The Five” after dope Bob B called murdering Che a “freedom fighter”. Haven’t watched it since, nor will I. They should have given Beck’s spot to Stossel. Nothing like a former liberal who finally got it to irritate the crap out of the left. And Palin lost me when she jumped on progressive Newt’s (the real politic Wilsonian) bandwagon. Doesn’t jive with what she claims to be, so I question why. Shame that the Republican establishment won’t back a true conservative, because they think a “moderate” is the only chance to beat O. People are tired of posers, and want the truth and someone who lives what he claims to believe. THAT’S the tea party. Occupy will support any mask, no matter how false, if it gets them the “stuff” that they think they’re getting cheated out of.

  • The following is an email that I sent as an alumnus of Shippensburg University to Dr. David Lovett, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Students:

    Dear Dean of Students:

As a Shippensburg Alumnus, I was appalled to hear that the school would be offering the Plan B morning after pill in vending machines on campus. In regard to conscience issues, this pill is not just a “whoops, this will fix it” issue. As we all know, college students are not the most reflective members of society, and the trivialization of the use of Plan B as a vending product is a poor reflection on the decision-making capabilities of the administration. I’m sure that if you polled the students, 85% would also like a vending machine that dispensed vodka shots, but then, we, as adults, recognize that the choices are a reflection of impulse rather than maturity. It may also leave the university open to lawsuits concerning side-effects, not to mention right-to-know issues on the abortive effects of the product in regard to minors using a product provided by the college. Those who would choose to use this product need only to walk to the local drug store to purchase it over the counter. Perhaps the 1/2 mile walk would be useful as a time of reflection concerning risky behavior and personal responsibility.
My experience at Shippensburg was a very positive one. I hate to think of this issue being a deserved negative reflection, not only on the decision-making skills of the ad

  • As a Shippensburg alum, I will be calling the school tomorrow. I assume 80% of the students would also like a vending machine that dispenses vodka shots, but then that’s a product of the fact that they act on impulse rather than common sense. Too bad the administration “adults” are doing so as well.

  • @Watchman–You are dead-on. The embracing of social justice, progressivism and Marxist ideas are becoming more and more prevalent in the Church, not only in the congregation, but also in the leaders of the Church. They are forgetting, dismissing, or deliberately muddying the line between personal commitment to others as an embracing of faith community, with governmental redistributive Marxist action. This is a frightening blending of government and religion that does not bode well for either.

  • This man lost my vote specifically on this issue. Unfortunately, there isn’t anyone currently in the race, who has a chance of beating Obama, who has even a fair grade on illegal immigration and border protection. Ron Paul has a terrible history on illegal immigration, although I agree with him on most domestic issues. His view on Iran and the threat of Islamic extremists is frightening. I feel sadly left with no one to vote for in the most important election in my lifetime.

  • Obama: Odds Are, I’ll Get Re-Elected

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

  • Truer than I like to admit.
