  The task of man’s consciousness is to perceive, not to create, reality.
  Man’s mind is his only tool to gain knowledge.

  Then do as Glenn Beck and Ayn Rand suggests: Question the moral code that you have adopted and see where it is leading you.
  it is much easier to have a knee jerk kick in the crotch reaction to this.
  It is much easier to tune it all out and go with the flow.
  Rational thinking is volitional, you must choose to do it.

  Oh, sorry “liberal socialist party” could mean Republican or Democrat Party now.

  I think she worshiped life, her own life. Her greedy little life that she was living for her own sake.
  Somehow she had the gall to believe that her life belonged to her, to live as she pleased.
  What does it mean to be the owner of yourself? What does it take to live? What does it mean to hold your life as your greatest treasure? If greed is valuing your own life above all else, then yes greed of this kind is what she worshiped.
  But don’t confuse this with greed for the unearned, or greed that requires sacrifice. Sacrifice of others to one’s self or self sacrifice.
  Whose morality requires sacrifices? Sacrifice meaning exchanging something more valuable for something less valuable.

  Glenn has on many occasion suggest that everyone read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand albeit Ayn Rand warns specifically against those who preach FAITH, HOPE and CHARITY. Glenn does a pretty good job of defending individual freedom despite the lack of a rational moral base.
  These groups that claim that reason is their foundation are closing the door on Glenn Beck who has abandoned reason.
  “…Sensing their need of a moral base, many “conservatives” decided to choose religion as their moral justification; they claim that America and capitalism are based on faith in God. Politically, such a claim contradicts the fundamental principles of the United States: in America, religion is a private matter which cannot and must not be brought into political issues. Intellectually, to rest one‘s case on faith means to concede that reason is on the side of one’s enemies—that one has no rational arguments to offer. The “conservatives’” claim that their case rests on faith, means that there are no rational arguments to support the American system, no rational justification for freedom, justice, property, individual rights, that these rest on a mystic revelation and can be accepted only on faith—that in reason and logic the enemy is right, but men must hold faith as superior to reason.
