‘Journal of Medical Ethics’ Stands by Publication of ‘After-Birth Abortions’ Article
February 28, 2012 at 10:07pm
“The paper also draws attention to the fact that infanticide is practised in the Netherlands.” So if the Netherlands is doing it, it MUST be ok. Hey, China is throwing its baby girls in the streets for dogs to maul to death, I guess THAT must be ok, too?
…”the goal of the Journal of Medical Ethics is not to present the Truth or promote some one moral view. It is to present well reasoned argument based on widely accepted premises.” I don’t know whose widely accepted premises they are working on…
“The authors provocatively argue that there is no moral difference between a fetus and a newborn. Their capacities are relevantly similar. If abortion is permissible, infanticide should be permissible. ” Um, are these the same people who fight for the end of the death penalty for cop killers???
City Councilman Defends Naming His Dog ‘Muhammad’

Freedom of speech! Funny how they can mold Jesus out of poop and its freedom of speech, but you name man’s best friend Mohammad and all hell breaks loose.

Gay-Themed Military Magazine to Appear Free-of-Charge on Select Army & Air Force Bases
September 1, 2011 at 12:09pm
They refuse to sell Porn magazines on base due to people complaining about having to explain it to their children (rightly so), so why does this get a pass? All we need is children picking up this magazine, because it won’t be packaged or behind cardboard, reading it and being exposed to things some parents might not want them exposed to.
Hawaii’s Restrictive Gun Laws to be Challenged in Court
August 31, 2011 at 12:41pm
You would not believe the amount of BS someone must go through in order to be granted permission to buy one, little-lone trying to learn how to fire it (you can only drive the weapon to the one range in Hawaii and home, no stopping).

Update: Newsweek Responds to Eyebrow-Raising Bachmann Cover Shot
August 9, 2011 at 12:35pm
I love how it took them almost 24 hours to come up with an “explanation” for the crappy cover. This is not the first time that NW has done this to a conservative woman.
Walter Reed Army Medical Center to Close After 102 Years
July 23, 2011 at 10:01pm
Technically, I believe, Walter Reed isn’t closing. It’s Bethesda that is closing, and Walter Reed is moving to occupy its space. Bethesda has more room to expand.

After Senate Rejects House Debt Bill, Boehner Delivers Fiery ‘We’re Broke’ Debt Speech
July 22, 2011 at 6:51pm
I love how Obama said he wasn’t interested in pointing fingers and that he was taking the blame. All this was in between blaming Boehner, the republicans, and, not-so-veiledly, the Tea Party. He wants a balanced approach, but hasn’t even tried to just cut, first. I was yelling at my TV so loud, I think the neighbors are calling the police. How hard is it to find more programs like studying the size of Gay men’s body parts and cutting the funding? I’m sure there is more than $1.6 Trillion in those kinds of programs without cutting into “entitlements”.
