  No, Vilsack is not an idiot, and neither are the rest of the dems putting out this tripe, they are just hoping enough of us are idiots and swallow it.
  BTW, in the photo of Vilsack, are those Nancy Pelosi’s ballprints on his chin? I thought she said unemployment dollars worked best to stimulate the economy. Now its foodstamps? hmmm.

  I am a solid atheist, I have been most of my life. It galls me to see other atheists behave this way, or to sue to have street signs changed or crosses taken down. Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Bill Maher and their like have never swayed anyone to their way of thinking. They insult and belittle people and try to make them feel foolish or stupid. They are 24k solid gold as….well you know what they are.
  I have no beef with people who believe, and I understand why they do. I think they are mistaken, not because they are less intelligent or defective in some way, but because they are human. Believers think and see the world through human eyes so it is natural for them to believe.
  An honest debate? I can have one anytime and do so without insulting the person I am debating.
  Cheating on polls, insulting people, holding them up to look like fools, and all sorts of other dishonorable behavior is reprehensible.
  Intellectually honest atheists need to take guys like Myers to the woodshed for a little attitude adjustment. They give us a bad name.

  Can anyone explain to me why the Jews are hated? Really, I dont get anti-semitism. All of the complaints I have heard are absurdities on par with the Nazies claiming American Black soldiers had tails. The Jews I know are just people.

  As an athiest, I am offended by the actions of these athiests. I am particularly offended by the ‘banning’ of the mentioning of religious figures at the VA cemetery. The first is offensive because of the ‘in your face’ attitude, and the second is intolerably offensive because it is a clear, egregious violation of the first amendment.
  I must say I and many other athiests feel the same offense over courthouse commandments and such. We dont like others beliefs rubbed in our faces either. It does sadden me to see athiests behaving in the manner that they complain about others. I have no problem with the ten commandments at churches or on private property, but there are many other more appropriate things to carve in stone at a courthouse. I have no problem with people praying as long as it is not a state sponsored prayer. If someone giving a speech at an event wants to pray or insert (briefly) their beliefs, it isnt offensive to me. It is offensive ( and I believe illegal) to me when people are forbidden to do so.
  More tolerance should be had all around.

  Leaving out PC I have to add….Had a buddy who worked in iran and iraq, yemen and egypt for 30 years as an engineer. He told me on more than one occasion ” You absolutely cannot leave them alone with a woman for even a minute or it is a certainty she will be raped.”

  The mysogynistic nature of their religion is not just textual, figurative or metaphorical….it is real and deeply ingrained in thier society. It was foolish and She should not have been there. And yes, oldfool, I mean foolsgold…if she were native she would be arrested and charged with adultry….raped many additional times in jail and then publicly stoned. That level of savagery exists, exists widely in the world, and is practiced every day in this and so many other ways.

  Such is what we are dealing with. In the end I am sure they will forge a peace-loving, libertarian-style democracy. There will be rainbows and butterflies…….
