Ted Nugent Agrees to Plead Guilty in Illegal Kill of Black Bear in Alaska
April 22, 2012 at 3:23pm
I heard a story about a guy from Iowa who didn’t follow all the regulations from A to Z when he killed a bear in Alaska. The Alaska DNR went to Iowa and contacted the Iowa DNR and then they raided this guy’s place, taking all his hunting trophies from around the world (not just Alaska), confiscated his airplane, and hit him with a hefty fine.
VA Teacher Arrested After Allegedly Lining Students Up and Firing Blanks at Them
April 19, 2012 at 8:36pm
“The majority of teachers are whack jobs.”
So are an uncomfortable number of students. Have you ever spent all day in a public school? Name the grade, it doesn’t matter. Spending all day getting kids to sit down and be quiet long enough for a teacher to teach them anything is a very trying job. I in no way justify what this teacher did, but there are still two sides to the teaching arena.

There have been several stories in the past couple of months of people in California defending themselves with a gun in their own home. Buying a gun in some states may be difficult, but if you can buy it and get it home, you can use it within the walls of your own home to defend yourself.

My rule is, if you can see any part of the Grand Canyon, your neckline is too low. That has always been the rule with myself and my daughters. As a result, I now have adult daughters who know how to dress modestly and would be uncomfortable with a neckline that low. It’s simply an unnecessary distraction. And if you can’t find clothing with a high enough neckline, try this:

Mich. Education Official: Educators, Not Parents Know What‘s Best for Kids’ Education
February 14, 2012 at 7:56pm
“[Educators] are the people who know best about how to serve children”? How about the history teacher my daughter had in high school? He handed out packets for the students to read and answer the questions during class, while he sat at his computer all day. My daughter said he only stood in front of the class and taught maybe once a month. It turns out he was the football coach. But what was worse was every time I spoke to someone, even outside the school district, about what he was (or was not) doing, I never mentioned his name, but everyone knew exactly what teacher I was talking about! Parents, students, and even other teachers have known for years that this man wasn’t really teaching, but no one did anything about it. He finally retired last year.
