  • Is everyone crazy? Where doe it sight Jesus Christ? It only talks of our heavenly Father – which can mean whatever you want it to be. Plus the writer of this story clearly does not the meaning of Amen, which is used in the secular world. But the bigger picture here is the Government roll of determining what is “religious” and what is not, and thus by that very nature it is the Government, not the school that is violating the first amendment. According the her complaint, do we now get an “offensive standard”? Like many have said, I am deeply offended by many things, but that gives me no right to force its removal. The final oxymoron is that the “government” school is a monopoly, if a person can not afford a private one. Therefore, by this misguided and damned soul forcing this mural removed, has just offended and disrupted many others first amendment rights – the of free speech, which is clearly what the creator of this did back in the 60′s. This judge was not insightful, but then again secular humanists are not.

  • There is a more philosophical discussion. What is discrimination. The entire premise is illogical. We are all told to Discern. Sanctity is to judge right from wrong and act righteously. So discrimination is what we do. The only discrimination that should be illegal are those related to physical presence that DO NOT inhibit work and there are no candidates that can do the job better. Would I want someone working for me that falls asleep every 20 minutes or someone who remains alert? Do I want someone who has great values or someone that promotes sin in the work place? Where does this discrimination end? We just saw a case involving a lady who was conservative being turned down by a university because of her political views. I am not sure I can agree that that should be illegal. It works both ways. I don’t want an agitator working for me, nor do I want someone who make poor personal judgments, or is lazy, but unless I am a religious institution I fear I am screwed if I fire them. Hopefully the pendulum is starting to swing the other way, but I doubt it. Careful that you don’t hire that man to develop new feminine hygiene protection or that women to do some heavy lifting – you could end up in court. Somehow sports teams have been able to discriminate for years, but when it comes to life experience skills, physical abilities, character and temperament for regular businesses you are labeled discriminatory for wanting the candidate that best fits the job.

  • Just one more thing, because I am not bashing the person, but stating the reality of sin. Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner. God bless everyone as we all fight Satan. Even if you are not Catholic, ask for strength from your guardian Angel. It worked for Jimmy Stewart. But seriously – try it God gives us graces and blessings and they are all around us.

  • Let me help out the hand wringers and Joel for that matter. First, it is the ACT which is sinful, not the person – meaning the person is sinful by committing the act – physically or mentally, but it is no different than adultery or wish death to someone. These are all MORTAL sins. And yes, you will go to hell if you die in a state of mortal sin. Sorry Joel, you just don‘t know God’s law. And how do I know? It is called apostolic succession. The keys were given to Peter and handed down through the ages. There are differences in sins – mortal and venial. For those that say God would not create people damned, they do not understand free will. God made us different than all the creatures, in his image. He gave us something very unique – a self. This self chooses his or her path in life. We are all sinners, but to make an excuse for a homosexual because they have same sex attraction is to give excuses to adulterers, murderers, pedophiles and other mortal sins people commit because of their urges. And yes science has found genetic and chemical links to sociopaths, addicts, but not homosexuality yet – hmm. The closest they have come is theorizing that homosexuality is hormonal or developmental very early on in the first months of rearing (no pun intended). “But their not hurting anyone, or their consenting adults”. And neither are drug addicts, self mutilators, adulterers. There are wakes of destruction in every sin, it just may not be visible to the outside worl

  • Homosexuality is an abnormality that is a destructive behavior. That statement is fact, not opinion. Does that say anything about the person who has homosexuality tendencies – NO. It is the act which is sinful and destructive. Some homosexuals do not practice homosexuality. Just like thieves that don’t steal, addicts who don’t partake, gamblers who don’t gamble. I look at homosexuality as no different than drug addicts. They really really want it, but it will end up destroying their lives and those around them. Addicts hate seeing reformed addicts, they want them to fail and fall back to their level. Homosexuality is no different. The gay agenda is to normalize that which is abnormal and destructive. So the Pope is not talking about banning gay behavior anymore than he talks about banning all drugs or gambling. The idea is to promote virtue – the norm, the dignified and pious life. Unlike Joel Osteen, the Pope is a real man of God, who will not condone sin. He also could teach him a little about mortal sin and venial sin and yes homosexuality is a mortal sin, just as adultery is. So if they do not repent, they will go to hell. The Pope calling as is the Churches is to save souls. We all sin, and we need to recognize the sin and ask for forgiveness to be one with God. I pray for those souls as well as those that choose ignorance and bigotry.

  • There is no debate in the Catholic Church. There is the truth and there are those that deceive. All organizations, churches and governments have good and evil people in their ranks. We are called to love one another, feed the hungry and serve our fellow man. Evil comes in when people twist the truth into some bent for an oligarchic system to force “a better world”. Our great, holy and brilliant pope is not one of them, but their are wolves among the sheep. They are not wrong, but evil. We must prey for these lost souls to be released from the grip of satan. Quick understanding of the catechism – it unequivocally states that collectivism is the opposite of all forms of subsidiary. If you don’t know what subsidiary is, please research it. It is in harmony with the American philosophy. The article forgot to mention in the released paper that said to not take this paper as an endorsement or recommendation but rather to open a dialogue. Catholic Social teaching teaches us to walk with Christ, lead a virtuous life, and serve others. But it all starts and ends with life – if a person is not willing to stand for the unborn, then they simply are not Catholic, regardless if they call them-self one. Great video on RealCatholicTV that shows how Alinsky infiltrated the Church and its effects are still felt today. Not a conspiracy, but it does go to show you how serious these collectivist are in destroying the Faith and our way of Life.

  • I can’t figure out who is the bigger idiot – Duke or Hartmann? Just goes to show you the left are both racists and race baiters.

  • How can a man lecture anyone on a “line” when the man has no “line”?

  • The Goober is right, we are all socialists now – thus the reason for the Tea Party. Reform the reforms is what I say. Let’s create a country that our founders would recognize. I remember supporting Ron Paul in 1988, funny how history is on his side. You have Forbes talking about returning to the Gold standard, you hear more people mocking Austrian economics (which no main stream media person ever talked about), and you see people calling for a cross the board reduction in the size of government. Let’s agree to disagree on the small stuff, but on the big stuff we must have solidarity. The answer a constitutional amendment to tie spending outside of active military action to 15% of GDP. Balance budget amendment is hogwash. We don’t have a revenue issue but a spending issue. National sales tax is hogwash, we need a flat income tax of 10% on every person and the rest of the revenue needs to come from import duties. This is NOT a protectionist move, it is simply how the US obtained most revenues prior to the income tax and has nothing to do with free trade. I am absolutely a fair and free trade person. I believe ALL countries should follow suit with their tax structure.

  • Gay Is Now OK for Presbyterian Clergy

    May 11, 2011 at 7:52am

We welcome all Moral Presbyterians that seek truth to come back to the Universal Truth where our Holy Father has been making great strides of reforming the reform and keeping the One True Faith – Authentic. We are all sinful, but Christ asks us to strive for perfection. He set the bar, not man. We love the sinner but hate the sin, but the sinner must bend, not the church. Man’s greatest sin is pride and it is obvious reading through this article and some of the comments.
