  • Write your senators and reps and tell them that they may go home now – their services are not longer needed! I’m serious! Make sure that THEY know that WE actually follow (and are more up to date on – than them) and are not HAPPY with the OVERRIDES that this administration continually executes and this congress appears to just . . . go along with!

  • Just my opinion, but the stage is being set (by Progressives) for a much bigger crisis – uh . . . around election time?

Pray and fast for our country – MAY 17th!

  • That was exactly what went through my head . . . get angry, start name calling, spew a rude comment, get defensive, blame someone else, etc. A liberal is SO predictable that it has become fun to just mess with them!

  • By HIS own words! Priceless.

  • (around minute 5:00), the question is asked: How many have left the work force? That is a number that you never hear. That number needs to be explored and factored into these charts. I know that the unemployment number has been tossed about in different conversations, but what about the retirement number? My husband was in construction and near retirement age. He finally just quit drawing unemployment benefits and has filed for his retirement. Is that an important part of this “recovery” numbers game?

  • What concerns me is the fact that this amendment is attached to a HIGHWAY bill. So, what IF this is a really bad transportation bill (as I have heard it is) and we are encouraging a YES vote due to this one amendment . . . According to Missouri’s Constitution – a bill and all of it’s amendments have to pertain to ONE subject – the subject that is stated in the TITLE of the bill. So, Mr. Blunt (since you are from Missouri) . . . please start with that idea. Instead of attaching an unrelated amendment – offer an amendment that requires all amendments (to a bill) to actually deal with the subject and title of the bill. I want a change in Washington DC. I want transparency in legislation. I want to actually see a high approval rating of our Congress. I don’t want a 1000 page bill that deals with multiple subjects. It’s kind of IMPOSSIBLE to vote yes or no on something like that and reflect your constitutents views.

  • A LOT of us aren’t comfortable with the Republican choices. LISTEN to their words very carefully! Newt is a great debator and many are emotionally connecting with his anger and sharp comments as he beats down the media. However, LISTEN to what he says. He’s BIG GOVERNMENT (Progressive) through and through. I voted for Mitt in 2008, but I don’t plan to this time around. He cannot win the arguement regarding ObamaCare because he imposed the same in MA – and that is a VERY BIG issue that needs to be repealed by the newly elected president. At this point, I’ll be going with Santorum. I‘ve laid this country at God’s feet – HE’s in charge! Who knows . . . a third party candidate may emerge at the last minute and we will all scream – “YES, that‘s the one we’ve been waiting for!” Sorry, that my comment is “off comment” in regard to the original story.

  • That’s the way I see it! Our efforts HAVE to be in the House and Senate. BUT, first and foremost – MY time will be spent in prayer. We were allowed to roll down the hill this far due to turning our back on our Christian principles. Time to concentrate on spirituality. After all, God is in charge.

  • I’m a little confused as to where Glenn is getting his information (the Tea Party supports Gingrich). As a Tea Party member, I am an “undecided” at this point and no one has asked if I am a Tea Party member or who I would vote for. So, Glenn – where are you getting this info? I do understand what he is saying – We are being pushed, nudged, guided into believing that we have to support and vote for the candidate that has the BEST CHANCE of evicting Obama in 2012 – not necessarily who we believe to be the best candidate (according to our Tea Party principles). I’ve voted third party twice in my lifetime. I will do it again in the next general election, if that is what I believe to be the right thing to do! I held my nose and voted for McCain, as did many others. The truth of that election was that McCain would have been throughly pounded had it not been for the very conservative Palin! We should focus on filling the House and Senate with Conservatives.

  • It’s been mentioned by a couple of commenters on here and I agree – We need to be discussing who the DEMOCRATIC PARTY’S candidate will be. Hillary hasn’t been in view too much lately and the last time that I saw her she looked WELL rested and completely “made over”. I don’t know what kind of deal was made in 2008 – but, she sure did bow out quietly. If Bill Clinton was the first BLACK PRESIDENT (according to Toni Morrison) – then I’m sure Hillary still wants the title of the first WOMAN PRESIDENT (so, Bachman & Palin had to be destroyed). All that Obama bashing by the Republican candidates would have been in vain. 2012 is going to be an “Anyone but” election for conservatives and even some unemployed, union Democrats. If the Democrats change the game and Hillary becomes their candidate, she would scarf up independents, ALL the Dems and even some moderate Republicans that aren’t happy with the Republican field of candidates. Call me crazy . . . but they have something up their sleeve and it’s something BIG that is not being discussed.
