  Heebster, you make a great point for those of us against Obamacare…only the rich will be able to afford the tests and treatment that the health care system will not be willing to give…Britains have even been denied provided medications if they dare seek tests or treatment outside of the system. Many have lost their lives because they can‘t afford to go out of the system and the system won’t provide what is needed when it is needed.

  when I was growing up it was common knowledge that a policeman or fireman would be there if you were in need…they were the good guys no matter what…then my car broke down in the middle of a busy three lane road at the foot of a bridge…my toddler in the car with me. I‘m rather self sufficeint but I couldn’t protect my baby and push my car so I was relieved when I saw a firestation nearby. I left my car , flashers on, and asked if they would just push me to the side of the road to prevent a wreck…I was stunned with they said they were not allowed to help. I went back to my car and tried to start it and had a man pull up behind me and pushed me to the side of the road where I waited for my husband to come. I lost a lot of respect that day for men who are paid by my taxes and get great benefits and wouldn’t lift a finger to help me…not couldn’t…wouldn’t. They made a choice not to help even if they were told not to. The men that let the house burn made a choice. We are all neighbors and when we have the power in our hands to help someone we should. Maybe the owners were stupid not to pay the fee…maybe he just really forgot, we all forget important things sometimes…maybe he didn’t have the extra money…whatever the reason, to let his house burn over $75 or any amount for that reason was not what American firemen should represent. I give generously to our firefighters, police and their families. I appreciate what they do but I realize that they aren’t all made of the same fiber.

  walkwithme…the founders of the progressive movement pursued an eugenics agenda..maybe you should do some research on the party you are affiliated with if you don’t agree with one of their foundational beliefs.
