  You’re kidding right? You actually think that was appropriate for a middle school student to be singled out and humiliated? Whether she was trying to “teach,” or not, is irrelevant. You obviously do not have teenage children. ANYTHING done to them by a teacher in front of other students is embarrasing and humiliating.

  Let’s do a little “experiment”. Let the ocuppiers take control of the land and after they have spent their time, labor and money to “grow healthy food to meet the needs of the local community”, then we send in a large group of homeless people (from the local community) to TAKE the food.   Go ahead, so called “99%”….don’t show up to work. And you won’t get paid! Do the occupy losers actually think that this is going to hurt anyone but themselves? Almost ALL 1%’ers are salaried employees or self-employed. Taking a day off does us no harm. If my employees don’t show…..no pay! Sorry, you lose. (Actually my employees love their jobs and love working for me, so I guarantee they will show up as normal)

  Wow Jessie, that is some screwed up theology….

  First off, you cannot “occupy” (in the OWS sense) something/somewhere that you own. Since the temple in Jerusalem was God’s temple, how could Jesus have been “occupying” it?

  Second, Jesus was not crucified for driving out the moneychangers. He was crucified because he claimed to be “I am” which to the Jewish leaders was a clear claim to divinity. His death sentance was for that reason, not the act that Jessie so in-elliquently claims.

  I have very little doubt that Jessie Jackson will someday hear the words, “I never knew you”
