  • TreeTrimmerJim,
Yeah, and I think we should try to be like Europe in every way we can… It starts with the little things. Personally, I am not comfortable in a public bathroom with a guy. Maybe I’m just behind the times, but I prefer segregation of the sexes there too.

  • Ted Drunk- you are right!!! OK, I’d rather see segregation than all these issues in sports. Equal in respect, status and rights shouldn’t mean we are the same.

  • I absolutely agree. We have become so gender confused that Bibles have been changed to make God gender neutral (and possibly feminine in some versions).

The reason it matters that God is “Male” (though He has no physical form at all, other than any way He may wish to manifest Himself to us), is so that we understand that we are His Bride. We learn that a husband should be willing to lay down His life for us, as Jesus gave His life for the Church. Knowing God as He presents Himself to us helps us to know ourselves as we relate to Him. So seeing Him as a male helps us to see ourselves as we are.

Jesus, like Adam, gave life to woman (Eve from Adam, the Church from Christ)- though in the flesh, through birth, woman gives life to man. Interesting how Jesus submitted Himself to entering fully into our existence by arriving through woman. He could have just come down from heaven, but in Christ, God fully entered into our space, time and existence. He took on fallen flesh, in order to heal and restore us. But this restoration comes through His free gift of life- “Adam’s Rib” in the form of His Spirit- to all who say yes.

I guess that wasn’t very politically correct either…

  • Do you want shared rest rooms? That is equal, but not right. Somehow we would rather deceive ourselves that our bodies are equal (which also makes them interchangeable, or you can choose which you have).

It does seem fair to me that if a girl is actually good enough to physically compete with the boys, then why not? But for boys to compete on girl teams, would open the floodgates of faster, stronger boys, and girls would quickly be pushed aside. I think the idea here is to allow people to play against fair competition, protecting weaker groups, so that everyone has a realm to play in. Since there isn’t a boys team, he should change sports rather than take an unfair advantage over girls. Watch girls vs boys soccer to see what I mean.

If a girl wants to play “above her league”, what harm does it do the boys who are supposed to be stronger? Are they afraid girls will rush in and they will no longer be able to compete. These rules also protect players from injury. Even boxers have weight classes to protect the “lighter weight” players, but who would get upset if a light weight challenged a heavier player?

I say these things not because I think girls are lesser- I am one. (What we have in brains, you guys do have in strength.) :)

I really don’t care about sports, but find this whole topic to be telling of our gender-confused society. I am absolutely for equal work, equal pay, but against women on the front lines in war.

  • VRW Conspirator, welcome to Texas! I’m not a native, but am glad to be here too. And this is the best time of year here, as it gets pretty hot in a couple of months…

I think you are right in your reply, but to add to our wish list, so much of what Obama has done would have to be reversed to even have the hope of light at the end of the tunnel, and I don’t think that will happen till he is out. I just pray it isn’t too late. But what gets me is that they will make decisions that they know are killing the economy, not for “fairness” as is claimed, but seeking full melt-down of the country. I think he would even put that on a faster trajectory if possible, rather than consider any relief. I pray that the harm can be reversed if Republicans win the election.

  • I was wondering if tax cuts actually increase tax revenue as stated by many, then could the increase in tax revenue corresponding with the extension of the tax cuts be estimated for a given year? That would close the argument about taking money out of the budget. And then, if it calms the business sector, so that they will feel free to invest in their businesses over the rest of the year without the uncertainty of the tax cuts expiring- then could the positive impact of settling the issue quickly be estimated? In other words, is there an opportunity cost we pay by waiting, and keeping businesses on edge, because by waiting, we won’t have as much tax revenue increase given the tax cuts are extended as if we announced it early and people again begin to hire? Maybe I make no sense except to myself, but if tax cuts are better for the economy, surely, making businesses anticipate the worst for the next 6-9 months will have a measurable negative impact on the economy. That could be the cost of lame duck. Time is money, and 6 months of inactivity, when positive things need to be happening right now, is costly.

  • How was the founding of America different from other rebellions:

Our founders saw unGodliness coming from their tyrant of a king. They didn’t choose an orderly structure of governance which embraced the basal freedoms that OWS and the far left seek. They didn’t seek sexual freedom, legalised abortion, drugs, prostitution. They weren’t trying to escape the constant threat of moral lectures. They were running towards- Godliness. They surrendered to God, and His authority.

The people who wish to transform this society are running from God and His established moral codes. They are running from “egoistic” higher man, towards “free” basal animalistic man. Evolution makes us mere animals. But we know that Adam was given dominion over the creatures, and that we must seek to be better than our temporary mammilion state, which is just a shell, housing a spiritual being connected to Christ (if we are saved). They perceive our connection with God as a vile contaminant in their society, a threat. They freely choose Satan’s version of freedom, which leads to death and destruction.

It’s not a question of whether or not God exists- it is about a choice to live Godless.

Confusing question: why does one religion work for them, without infusing God back into their Godless society? It rewards with perpetual sex, infinite virgins, “rape your slaves”, “traveler’s marriage”… Vengeance becomes “honor”, violence is channelled= order over lower man.

  • Robert Hawk, you are probably right, but there is even something more evil at work. Knowledge itself can lead us down a wrong path if we think that we must entertain all concepts, both good and evil (Tree of Knowledge of both good and evil- confusion).

But in reading the works cited in the article, I actually got a picture of something like the vile people of the days of Noah, hating him and his family for listening to God, because they perceived it as a betrayal to the natural man, their freedom to choose evil. Civilised society at it root, if based on the concept of a higher being who determines what is good and evil is at battle with chaos, confusion, or even an ordered society based on embracing the natural man and serving the flesh and leaders who rule in the realm of lower nature.

They weren’t even denying the existence of God, but were denying whether it is better to allow Him to affect society or not, and have determined that God must be eliminated. This is why Alinsky was moved to dedicate his book to Satan. This is why people in these groups admire Satan, who‘s reward is the promise of absence of God’s restraining love. They are arguing that God doesn’t know best, and just wants to control us. Their entire view is upside down. We know that this world is temporal, and we are just passing through. We know freedom in Christ from death and destruction. They choose destruction, and see Christ as an obstacle and us as traitors.

  • And God will. We are here for a reason, and we just need to hold tightly to Christ, trust Him and His guidance. His Spirit will carry us through the path He puts before us.

  • How do they think we have it wrong?

“Hence, man was not freed from religion, he received religious freedom. He was not freed from property, he received freedom to own property. He was not freed from the egoism of business, he received freedom to engage in business.” So, we are slaves in our liberty?

“It regards civil society, the world of needs, labor, private interests, civil law, as the basis of its existence, as a precondition not requiring further substantiation and therefore as its natural basis. Finally, man as a member of civil society is held to be man in his sensuous, individual, immediate existence, whereas political man is only abstract, artificial man, man as an allegorical, juridical person. The real man is recognized only in the shape of the egoistic individual, the true man is recognized only in the shape of the abstract citizen…. Only when the real, individual man re-absorbs in himself the abstract citizen, and as an individual human being has become a species-being in his everyday life, in his particular work, and in his particular situation, only when man has recognized and organized his “own powers” as social powers, and, consequently, no longer separates social power from himself in the shape of political power, only then will human emancipation have been accomplished.”

Satan’s scripture, stating that freedom from sin (transformation in Christ) is selfish, as we no longer share in the basal, sensual nature of birth.
