  I also have trouble buying into the outrage since the Catholic Church was at least partly in support of Obamacare, which (despite the President’s insistence that his executive order could overrule Congress) provided public funding for abortion. As horrible as abortion is, the Catholic Church shouldn’t be the least bit surprised by this – they got into bed with an out of control federal government knowing this could eventually happen. They made their bed and now seem outraged that they have to lie in it. Outrage at this point is hypocritical rather than indignant…

  This isn’t exactly surprising – when I made the mistake of living in D.C. and working for the government, it was well acknowledged that once you got further than a block or two east of the White House you were pretty much in a war zone. It‘s a good thing us regular Joe’s (almost) can’t have guns – phew…
