  @thirdarchon: You are trying to make it seem like the term “Marriage” does not and never had a proper definition in order to make something that does not fit the term acceptable.

  The term and it’s associated terms in various languages have been around in some form or another for over 2000 years. If you want to have some sort of union other than that described by the term marriage, create the term and argue for it’s merits.

  If you fail to win the argument based on facts and your new term, re-assess your position. But don’t attempt your specious arguments based on a false definition of a 2000 year old word.

  I’d like to know if you were perhaps watching one of those caricature cartoons or a Saturday Night Live spoof of the interview?

  @Raising: I’m 50 with 20 years military and a number of years in state government. I’m not even expecting Social Security to survive and figure my benefits with the military are going to get hit.

  Oh well !!! I recognized the Social Security problems when Reagan was outlining them in 1980. He was able to delay the inevitable to some degree, but just like any other budget, if the money‘s not there it’s not there. I’m not going to be one of those European crybabies going out in the street and torching cars.

  WE are responsible because WE keep sending these crooks back who eliminated the “Trust Fund” and put the money into other failed social programs and are continuing to build their own bureaucratic fiefdoms to pump money to their crooked friends.

  If Santorum and Bachman can begin to cut back on aid to the able, and use it to assist the states, local governments and charities to take care of those who are too old and infirm to take care of themselves, it will at least be more than I expect to be available when I reach the “retirement” age.

  I said this before the Iowa Caucuses when he explained and took ownership of his decisions vis Specter and Earmarks. This man owns up to what he‘s done and doesn’t try to deflect or blame others.

  There is no-one left in the campaign who does that!

  If you haven’t seen the clip, it’s worth your time. Then think of the possibility of him going up against the Deflector-in-Chief. He‘s so refreshingly straightforward Obama wouldn’t stand a chance!

  @NHABE64: Please take a look inside of yourself. I don’t know what possesses you to call people filth, but I know Jesus came here through His desire that none should perish.

  He hates that which is already condemned, Satan and those who fell with Him.

  He showed, and we as Christians should be showing, His compassion for those who are lost before they die and cannot be redeemed.

  Ask Him to help you to look at the lost in the way He did. He went to the homes of sinners and loved them to God.
