Utah School Fined $15,000 for Accidentally Selling Soda During Lunch
May 17, 2012 at 9:34am
Having attended a rival High School, I would like to say in this case that the kids and parents (any Davis Dart) really are too dumb to make decisions for themselves…
Reality is, this is what happens when you’re dependent on the government for anything. If you don’t do it their way, you’re toast.
This is an example of a system completely out of control. I pulled my kids out of public school this year for a myriad of reasons, this would have done it for me. The scary results I’ve discovered is that by teaching my High School Junior for 4 hours per day for the past 6 months, we have been able to accelerate his education and are enrolling him in College for the fall, a full year early.
Public schools are broken. I don‘t care if you’re in Utah or my new home in Texas. We should never let the government do what we as parents should be doing.

‘Real News From The Blaze’: Are We Heading for a Double-Dip?
April 27, 2012 at 11:17am
If proper (a.k.a Adam Smith) economic policies had been in play, there wouldn’t be a double-dip. There would have been one deep dip followed by robust growth. It would have been more painful in the short-term, but ultimately much better. The government trying to support a down-cycle is always going to be counter-productive in the long run. It’s interesting they feel the need to quell the down-side but are fine when they have an artificial up-side.

Dallas Fed President: Break up the Banks, End ‘Too Big to Fail’
April 4, 2012 at 3:23pm
When they say, “too big to fail”, what do they mean? They mean that if one of these gargantuan institutions gets in trouble, it’s up to the others to acquire the assets and so on. Until there is only one left that must be saved by the Federal Gov’t. End the Federal Reserve now. See how these super-banks fair and let the chips fall where they may. The invisible hand of a free market will sort things out.
Justice Department Blocks Texas Law Requiring Photo ID to Vote
March 12, 2012 at 5:57pm
I’m a new transplant to the greatest state in the Union. When I went to get my drivers license, I was shocked at the process. It took 4 hours and I had to provide; my birth certificate, proof of residency (bill), social security card and proof of vehicle registration. I asked the surprisingly helpful employee what the deal was with the painful process, she responded that it was to ensure that the Texas drivers license was only being issued to legal residents as part of their new voting requirements. All of the sudden, I was more than happy to put up with the pain.
If this is allowed to stand, can I bill the Fed’s for 4 hours of my time?
