Keith Olbermann Calls for 1960‘s Style ’Hell-Bent’ Uprising Against Debt Deal
August 3, 2011 at 6:50am
Ronald Reagan’s budget director says we should raise taxes. The libertarian Alan Simpson says we should raise taxes. Warren Buffett says we should raise his taxes. The director of PIMCO, the worlds largest hedge fund, says we should raise taxes. Hoover, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, HW ALL raised taxes. Republicans for the past century have believed in balancing budgets by raising taxes. In every poll, an overwhelming majority of Americans say raise taxes. We are the lowest taxed country of all the industrialized nations, and yet we account for half the planet’s military spending. So . . . should we raise taxes?

The Republican Dwight Eisenhower increased taxes to 92% on the wealthiest .1% to assist in reducing a debt that was 2/3 higher than it is today.
GOP Leader Eric Cantor Pulls Out of Debt Talks Over Dem’s Tax Demands
June 24, 2011 at 3:08am
The Democrats say spending cuts will hurt the economy. The Republicans say tax increases will hurt the economy. So WHY HURT THE ECONOMY AT ALL?!?!?!? Do neither and keep borrowing until our economy turns around like it did in the 90s, when we had a SURPLUS!!!!
Herman Cain: Jon Stewart Mocked Me Because I‘m a ’Black Conservative’
June 24, 2011 at 2:57am
Look, my only question is: are conservatives going to acknowlege that Herman Cain is proud to be an African American with a chance to be president, something his grandparents could never dream of, without being cynical and accusing liberals of being racist? Because many liberals I know were quite upset that people on their side accused the Tea Party of being racist. I don’t like to hear anyone being called a racist. I prefer to have my politics without race-bating, thankyou.

So is it OK for African Americans to play the race card in politics or is it NOT OK for African Americans to play the race card in politics?

Soon we will all be paying that much per gallon. The best thing the GOP has going for it in 2012 is OPEC.
Updated: Obama Addresses Nation on Death of Osama Bin Laden
May 2, 2011 at 12:43am
Blame Bush??? Why do we have to make this moment a partisan issue? Can we for once take a break from calling the president a terrorist and just celebrate that the bad guy is dead?
White House Bullies SF Reporter, Then Denies It. Transparency or Thuggery?
April 30, 2011 at 6:12pm
I’ve heard many in the tea party who agree with the liberal protesters about the treatment of bradley manning. We don’t agree on much but I like how there is agreement on that issue.
