My ageing dog had to be “put down”. The vet worked thru his back leg, while I stroked his head. The damnable drug the Vet used stopped his breathing. My poor dog could see only me. She died wide-eyed, and pushing me away with her front legs, thinking that I was stopping her breathing, unable to even cry out! No breath…..

Not a painful death? No suffering?? Wait a minute. When you cut the throat, you not only let out the blood, you also stop the breathing mechanism. Stop your own breathing mechanism for 5 minutes or so, (Belt, rope, plastic bag, whatever). THEN tell me no pain, no suffering! Go on, try it!
