  I downloaded the beta and created a virtual machine on my server…ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.

  I’ve been an IT engineer for over 30 years (until my job took wings to India) and have been using M$ products since the first version of DOS. M$ has spent the entire time “perfecting” the user interface (borrowing liberally from Apple who originally stole it from Xerox).

  Now, they want to turn my perfectly usable (and familiar) pc into a phone. Forget it – I’ll stick with Windows 7.

  Also, NOTHING on Windows 8 is where it was or should be…very confusing, NOT intuitive, and, did I mention UGLY?

  You and me both…I live in Crook County outside of Chitcago…our votes get counted for the Democrats even when we vote Republican. (My wife and I were voting for Crook County Board President a few years back…we both selected Peraica (R) on the electronic voting machine…it kept coming up as Stroger (D). Had to recast the vote five times before it registered correctly. Stroger, who was universally HATED outside of Chitcago, won the election. How many others voted against him and didn’t notice that the vote went to him? I called Peraica’s campaign manager and he said that it had happened throughout the county.)

  If you don’t have a Media PC hooked up to your television, look into getting a Roku box – you’ll be able to watch GB on your television (along with a lot of other content). They run between $60 and $90 or so. (I’ve got Western Digital Live boxes hooked up to my sets…hopefully, GBTV will be available on them at some point.)

  A side note: These people are so dangerous that the Bridgeview Mosque (also outside of Chicago) REFUSED to allow them to have the conference on their property. You remember this mosque, don’t you? (http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/251 and http://www.investigativeproject.org/case/391). Last year, they tried to have the conference at another hotel outside of Chicago but when the hotel got wind of who they were and what they were doing, they (the hotel) cancelled it. Probably explains why they are in Londonistan this year…

  They have been here before. I attended this conference outside of Chicago (as a protester) two years ago (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=6922880 – I’m in a blue shirt with a “24” CTU hat, my friend is wearing a coffin flag around his shoulders). There were about fifty protesters and about 800 attendees. We peacefully entered the conference at the Oak Lawn Hilton and listened to these lunatics spread their lies and hate until we couldn’t take it any more. I got into a heated debate with one of the speakers and a number of others stepped up to the microphone, one at a time, to dispute the BS. They don’t listen. They CLAIMED that they were interested ONLY in a Caliphate in the middle east but, as we all now know, they want world domination. I sent this information to Glenn via this website several months ago and he started to talk about it on his show the next day. Unfortunately, due to other events that week, he never finished. The people are among the most dangerous of the fanatics. Do your own research.

  Just filled up my car (requires premium)…$76 for less than 17 gallons of gas.

  $4.54/gal @BP in south suburban Chicago.

  Funny thing is that the BP refinery is only about 15 miles away and my area has (historically) got the highest prices in the country.

  Gotta loves the taxes in Swillinois, County of Crook.
