  • Patty Henry: Thank God for a true thinker like you. Zimmerman defied the order of the 911 dispatcher to not take matters into his own hands. The police were already on their way to the scene. If indeed Trayvon was committing a bonafide crime, the police would have properly assessed it and arrested him. He did NOT deserve to lose his precious life. It is sickening to read comments implying that just because someone was suspended from school, took drugs, etc., he DESERVED TO DIE. Boy, that would also be the case for a large part of our population!

  • The real issue here is – Did a precious creation of God deserve to lose his life? IF Zimmerman had allowed the police to handle the situation (THEY WERE ALREADY ON THEIR WAY TO THE SCENE!!!), a life that was valuable to God did NOT have to be lost. IF Zimmerman had not defied the directive of the 911 dispatcher to NOT take the matter into his own hands, Trayvon would still be alive. IF Trayvon was caught actually committing some type of crime (is it a crime to walk between houses on a rainy night?), the police should have been the ones to properly assess it. In the 911 tape, right off the bat, Zimmerman said that Trayvon “ran away.” So, if this were the case, what happened that the two ended up together in the final, tragic incident that led to someone’s life being ended? Again, IF Trayvon was actually in the process of committing a REAL CRIME, he should have been arrested by the police but he DID NOT HAVE TO LOSE HIS LIFE!!! And if you think inappropriate behavior (drugs, swearing, etc.) proves that you’re automatically guilty in an unrelated incident, then let’s investigate a huge chunk of the American population, young and old, who are guilty of these behaviors too. Do they all deserve to lose their lives?

  • Is This Trayvon Martin’s Twitter Account?

GirlNurse: The saddest part about this entire thing is that, based on the majority of CRUEL comments posted for this article and the egregious show of disrespect for someone who lost their life (and is STILL INNOCENT), the event called RESTORING LOVE couldn’t come any sooner!!!

JustPeachy: You’re absolutely right. Let him that is not guilty, throw the first stone. Also, shouldn’t we then be investigating every single young person that uses inappropriate language? Absolutely imbecilic.

First of all, what is the purpose of this article? Is it to insinuate that just because Tayvon Martin and his acquaintances used inappropriate language, there’s a higher possibility that he was at fault for his own death and therefore deserved to die? Just imagine if people took all the words we said in our daily lives and used it in the same way – to determine whether we were guilty in a situation that was in no way related to one’s choice of vocabulary – or even one’s prior actions. For some people, you are innocent until proven guilty, but for some, you are guilty until proven innocent. Nice to meet a true great thinker like you, JustPeachy. Glenn B., I hope you address these hateful comments and attitudes in your Restoring Love event. We need WAY MORE than just acts of kindness in deeds – we need it in WORDS too. Many patriots need “heart surgery.”

  • “Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged. And with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Matthew 7:1,2

There are times when I am disgusted with what I read on this site (a site I usually support) and this is one of those times. There is only ONE judge – God. All others are highly subject to error.

  • Oh, now it’s time for the time-honored tactic of weak-minded people – playing the victim card – just like this girl is doing.

ATHEISM: The belief that something came from nothing – a scientific impossibility.

  • Honestly, this is quite amusing. If Hitler were a Christian, why did he round up and execute Christians who disagreed with him? Just two examples: Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Martin Niemoller, both pastors. Why did he replace Christian symbols with pictures of himself? And the most important question: Why on earth did he execute Jews because Christians worship Jesus, and Jesus WAS A JEW!

BTW, the Church of Atheism also now asks for and accepts donations – hmmmm, weren’t they so against that?! They’re also trying to convert others – hmmmm, another thing they criticized believers for doing. This is hypocrisy at its finest.

  • MIL-DOT: I am no fan of the Marxist Obamas. However, your comment is egregiously moronic and is on par with miniscule-minded comments from Obama supporters.

  • Romney is telling us who he is and who he isn’t. He’s probably afraid of the word “socialist” coming back to haunt him.

  • With all the darkness attempting to snuff out the light of this great country, these awesome lights are a reminder of what America is and will always be – a shining light on a hill, a true beacon of hope. Fellow patriots, it’s all worth it! Merry Christmas to all!
